Closed

Tiny hands that cling to coins with such hope
To reach out and find the machine is broke
Holding back the tears and trying to cope
No signs no warnings of closed for repairs

In a hurry not paying attention
Grasped the frying pan handle, to feel burn
Ignoring the feeling, apprehension
The hopes of what was to be slowly fades

Donning a coat to keep the cold away
Wrapped so tight you cannot feel the heart beat
Outer shell still looks good, inner frayed
No signs no warnings of closed for repairs

Tucked safely in bed alone in the night
Maybe lost the battle but not the fight

"The Experience"

As the drums fall in line, thrashing rolling thunderous beats, as the trumpeter's are called to the grand event, the orchestra begins to layout their sheet music. A Configuration By Intention. HIS intermix of musical notation now complete. Each ear hears as the introduction is played, their hearts filled with much exultation in the sweet sounds. The commemoration follows wherever they yearn to travel. The intensity, only with them, as that last note persists..... HIS first symphony now arranged, new music fills the air called life music.

WORLD BANK BLUES (ALLEN GINSBERG)

I work for the world bank yes I do
My salary was hundred thousand smackeroo
I know my Harvard economics better than you

Nobody knows that I make big plans
I show Madagascar leaders how to dance
How to read statistics & wear striped pants

Emotional statistics that's not my job
Facts & figures, I'm no slob
But foresting & farming's all a big blob

Here's our scheme to stabilize your paper
for International trade right now or later
Follow our advice you'll thank your creator

Whatcha got to export, what raw materials?
Monoculture diamonds, coffee, Cereals
Sell 'em on the market to Multinational Imperials

We'll loan you money to expand production
Pay our yearly interest, for your own protection
Tighten your belts, we'll have no objection

Throw in some little minimal principle
tho debt service paid makes the deal invincible
That takes dollars but your currency's exchangeable

Get people working on mass market land
cut down forests, for your cash in hand
Or superhighways money where Rainforests stand

With agribusiness farms you can export beef
Cut social services & poverty relief
Forest people shift to the cities in grief

Tighten your belt for a roller coaster ride
Production's up, market prices slide
Wood pulp burger meat, coffee downside

Increase production pay yr. World Bank debt--
At least the interest if that's all you can get
Cut down Amazon you haven't paid it yet

In one decade you give all the money back
As Bank debt service but the Principal, alack!
We'll lend more cash (but dont sell smack)

Austerity measures, wages go down,
th'urban sewage is a charnel ground
Buses fall apart at the edge of town

coral reef fish dead factory waste,
Indigines hooked on Yankee dollar taste
Swiss bank funds for dictators disgraced

Fauna killed for the debt Costa Rica
Unknown flora at the mouth of Boca Chica
Birds in Equador, sick with toxic leakage?

Riots start over bags of foreign rice
Arm your teenage army with U.S. mace
Borrow money for a local Arms race

Families driven from crop land to forests
Forest folk in hovels hid from tourists
Currencies bankrupt for free market purists?

I just retired from my 20 year job
at World Bank Central with the money mob
Go to AA meetings so's not die a slob

I worked in Africa, Americas, Vietnam
Bangkok too with World Banks' big clan
Now I'm retired and I don't give a damn

Walk the streets of Washington alone at night
The job I did, was it wrong was it right?
Big mistakes that've gone out of sight?

It wasn't the job of a bureaucrat like me
to check the impact of the Bank policy
When debt bore fruit on the world money tree.

Home Sweet House?

As darkness unfolded the old home sighed

Once more another day has come and gone

In the bright light of the sun the eaves lied

But once more the house stood empty alone

No one seemed to notice that no one cared

In the daylight the fresh coat of paint shined

In the dark the rooms laid empty and bare

A home without life how cruel and unkind

The deception of two made into one

Leaving neither completely as a whole

No one lost and no one has really won

A diamond is just an old chunk of coal

Daylight has been summoned a house no more

From blind eyes it is a home as before

Willow

The evening sun sets the sky ablaze. It peeks between the trees and speckles the ground with shifting patches of orange light. The forest ebbs and flows with the swaying of the trees.

Bluejay swims in with a cool gust, searching for a place to rest for the night. He comes to a clearing with a shimmering lake, where silver fish soar among the stars that wink at their reflection in the sky.

On the far side of the lake stands the lonely Willow. Her verdant hair dances in the breeze and beckons to Bluejay. He happily flits down to perch on one of her twisted branches. The moon smiles upon them, and provides a gentle, comforting glow as they drift off into sweet slumber together.

The Rose In the Ivy

In a forest filled with wretched brier,
not one bud escapes its ire--
the gnarled roots and creeping vines
pierce all beauty with its fearsome spines.
But deep within, a flower lies,
hidden by bramble from all the world's eyes.
She stands up tall. She stands alone.
Standing strong, but still unknown.
One night, the flower hears a sound--
heavy footsteps upon the ground.
Out from the darkness appears a man
with clippers, shovel, and watering can.
For countless hours he continues to toil,
removing the flower from the soil.
She wonders what the man intends
to do with her, and to what ends.
He carries her past countless trees,
and in the distance she soon sees
a humble home with a soft, warm glow
coming from a single window.
The man sets the flower in a hole sized just right,
gives her some water, and retires for the night.
The very next day, when the sun starts to rise,
the man reappears with a look in his eyes.
A look of compassion and spirit so pure,
she knows that their love will forever endure.

The honor is mine

The thought of meeting you
Keeps me up at night

All those poems you wrote
Sunk deep in my soul

I've stirred a course through
Loves sea

And you've been the wind in
My sails

So sad that my hands cannot
Cup your cheek

I send you my tears in a golden
Bottle

I tear my flesh for love unfulfilled

May destiny have compassion on
the desires of my hungry heart

May my eyes close on this dark
And lonely world

May I wake to find you hand and
Hand walking through streets of
Gold

Only then shall we walk in the
Eternal smile

The war clock

The war clock is
Running..
Anticipating the
Days
Counting the
Hours
Ticking away the
Minutes
Bleeding away the
Seconds
With the sword of
Divine vengeance
Against hells
Terrorism
Against all those
Who slaughter the
Innocent
Who hold nothing
Sacred
Against anyone who
Could kill a
Child
The war clock is
Running

~A song for my momma~

.......And so the child was born,

and it's mother's love untorn,

side by side untill the sea did thus cry,

I watched them diamond's die in your eyes,

so my friend my true great momma here's your son writing you a song so true it's the way you made me true momma I'm coming home to you,

the times are dark the times I've cried,
the times i thought i almost died,

momma I've lost my pride why don't the
eagles never no more fly by my side,

But I ain't a puppy no more I'm a big dog now and I carry my soul proud,

And I shout my love for you loud I'm writing a long song so the heavens can send you angels and send them lights to you and yes I'm even telling the Lord only the brightest lights will do for you,

And that them Hollywood signs and neon lights and stars so bright but still they ain't as bright as you and my love will never die for you,

And these are words I can say because this is the heart that you gave me,

And truly the beauitful way you made me.

does your heart speak

when I close my eyes i can hear the heart running as I swallow clouds of green relaxing tokelaxing getting a step on,

so many clouds of storm raining down stepping on fire don't call me a liar my feets on fire,

all your problems stacked at my door im gonna get rid of it sick of it your no jewel in the sky,

my soul it did not die them tears finally
dried and my heart it gradually died as I seen them lies in your eyes,

so I'm hitting the road two hands on the wheel and I'm driving until I can't drive no more until my body hits the floor of the morgue and you can visit me while my spirit's gone but all you'll see baby,

is the sun long gone,

cause I'm floating high in the sky,

talk to me now you ain't never flown,

so beat it,

and back seat check it,

to the limits no more,

as I pump these pedals on the floor.
