Sad Fan

To a woman of whom I never met or knew.
Never knowing it was her songs I was listening to.
After hearing about the things that made her life so un at ease.
Makes me sad to think she is gone and hoping she is at peace.
I bet she knows now , what she meant to the people who truly cared.
Though at this point in time. She must have not known or she would
still be here.
No one ever knows till after the bad things have been done.
Never knowing how it all came to be or how it found it's way gone.
You will be missed . This I cant say enough is true.
Mindy , Your fans will always miss and had never stopped caring
about you.
So when your up in heaven. Singing along with the angels quire.
I can only hope you know now. The people of whom you inspired.

Angel Wings

Brighten light shining through
Touch of the warming sun,
I feel upon my pale face,

All I hear are whispering voice's
sobbing of the one's I love,
All I see is the color white.

Walking upon the foggy path,
large golden gates stand so bold and bright
With a man stnding with a smile,

Falling to my knees
Hands together
I pray upon my Angel wings.

Watching over them
I float upon a cloud
Smiling down to them all

Swinging my feet
Looking out
Here comes more Angels to be

Falling to my knees
Hands together
I pray upon my Angel wings.

Hearing the harp at play
I dance with my bare feet
To the sound Of welcome home melody

Falling to my knees
Hands together
I pray upon my Angel wings.

Hold your loved one tight tonight
For Tomorrow maybe their time
Love them hard love them long

Falling to my knees
Hands together
I pray upon my Angel wings.

christmas day

an angel came to me,
i missed you every single day,
gave me answers,
in doing so,
saw a love dying if not dead,
leaving me lonely,
yet showed me love,
to awake christmas day,
cold and all alone,
then to see a family full of love,
warm knowing at least someone loves me,
to feel someone cares,
no greater gift on this day,
the gift of love,
the meaning of life

sky on fire
life so dire
I do tire

In God's Hands

January 15, 2013 - Dedicated To My Mother, Gayle

I sift through memories once forgotten,
as echoes of “then” fill my mind tonight.
Memories which span our lives together,
flash between those spaces, blindingly bright!

I imagine a sponge absorbs the sickness,
and gathers from you each affected cell.
A sponge to collect every ounce of pain,
laminating you in this living hell.

Sorrow has a name we dare not mention.
A word known by far too many these days.
A word that claims the lives of our loved ones,
after leaving them altered in tragic ways.

Those memories reveal the distant laughter,
which long ago filled me with joy and hope.
I witness you now, mom, struggling to breathe,
to stand, to walk, to find strength and cope.

In spite of it all, you endure with grace,
and I admire your courage with pride.
Some days we don’t have to ask how your are,
your eyes tell the story you can not hide.

There are so many things we’ve finally shared.
Forgiveness has opened love’s blessed door.
The past gets to keep what does not serve us,
so we can say: I couldn’t love you more.

Funny how vivid those memories are.
The ones where you held me, and all was right.
One day they’ll be all I have left of you...
As always, I place you in God’s hands tonight.

About this poem:
I lost my mother late morning saturday on February 23rd. I am doing my best to stay busy, positive and I know it is a better thing that her suffering is over. My heart will heal in time and this deep ache will lighten. Right now I miss her with every part of my being. My thoughts have been focused on her for months now. RIP

One last goodbye...

I just want you to know,
I'm letting go,
Yeah and a part of me died,
When you left my side,
Cause baby you were the world,
When you were my girl,
And now I'm all alone,
Without you to hold,
I just want you to know,
I loved you so,
Yeah baby I loved you so,
But now I'm letting you go...

Grief

for some grief lightly brushes by
a person they didn't really know
within a few months totally forgotten
these are the lucky ones
for most, grief is a devastating thing
so many things to remind you about them
time really doesn't exist, just the loss
and the heart-wrenching pain
some days easier to leave behind
the next bringing you to your knees
all it can take is a chance word
an action, even a line in a book
and crash it all floods back in
so people try to remember
just because your life has moved on
for others try though they will
it has not, it is still fresh, bitter
and so devastately still in their face
so pause when you see them cry
give what little comfort you can
just remember one day sadly it may be you
who will have this loss and pain to bear

awaken to angels

Dawn has broken new days has
risen from darkness of nights alone.
Final sip of bottle as another day
without treasured partner here.
No where to be seen or heard.
Trumpet called as bullets fly my dear is far
and away, hold her dear live in fear as no may never see or feel her
near.I so feel my life dissapear,I pray to always be near you my dear.
So wish I could not fall here alone.

Is It Real

For in this town
many faces you see
yet none of them
remind you of me.
You know i have
been lonely for
so long.
Throughout the
years you still
see me coming
through the doors.
Asking how was
your day and
hugging me in
his own way.
Telling you every
thing would be ok.
You look for him
yet you see no one
coming through
the door.
