How deep the faults lie under our feet Across many vast expanses of time Lost for eternity is obsolete Never to recall lest the old bell chime
A heart beats strong and smooth to its core Unfaltered by any unfaithful crevasse If faith could hold us together evermore There'd be no fear for love to perisse
Alas! Like earth love has no window For such force we can never foresee So precious is time that fate foreshadow Negating science all its repartee
Wisely know in age of uncertainity Only love can last an eternity

About this poem:
Like an earthquake, tragedy and death hit without warning, but love too like life is precious and eternal as each day is so long and we remember those taken away from us will live on in our hearts.

Another fine sonnet, Yankee. A great subject too...
