Got To Keep Moving On

I am tired and the road ahead seems all so long.
The darkness that surrounds me as I move seems almost like a blanket holding me tight.
But I got to go keep on moving even if my heart knows its not right.
Can't seem to slow down just know I will find what I am looking for.
I close my eyes and the tears they just want to come.
Its hard to live life always on the move.
No one to hold me tight when the day is done.
No imprint on the pillow saying someone's been there.
I don't know if I have in me to really care.
I have been traveling way to long.
Putting off things that most have already done.
I've been on the run.
Looking back it all seems like a blur.
I gave you all I've had to give.
That I forgot to live.
Now I am sitting here. Wondering what next. The future is so unclear.
Just feeling like I want to get out of here.
Take the next plane home.
And stay till this feeling is gone.
I know the difference between a job and a career.
One you give eight hours to and one you give your life.
One day you wake and find your an old maid.
Never had the time to be someone's wife.
No babies have you held that you did not have to give back.
I fear it is to late to change my ways.
And have the things I kept putting off for another day.
I walk in the room I am so composed.
No one knows.
My face a mask so many feelings that I hide.
I know I must continue this ride.
What I dream of is not what is real.
It just don't matter how I really feel.

About this poem:
Sometimes when you have a position in a career if you leave sadly it can cause others to lose their position. Can one leave other families without an income in today's time and look in the mirror and smile. I think not. Maybe I should have titled this trapped.

My euology!

I used to be a writer; a little poetry by hand. A poet without the glitter; no audiance did i command. My messages were solely mine; a cummulation of my thoughts. Here and there little lines, and whatever comfort it brought. I was not the shakespear; i am who i am. These my writings, i shared, hoping if "one" would understand. Then my time was past; i wrote poems no more. Not even good poets last, muchless me, this simple bore. Yet you can make me great, reading my work through and through. Do so for this poet's sake; one who is infamous as you. Become a well known critic-: debate my work and its value. With comments from good to derelict; such helps my work shine-through. I am not the immortal; my body dead and gone. Make my work-:a living portal and byfaith a legend lives:- on!

Stress out at work

I try my best to be happy
Around me they are unhappy
Don't believe I'm clumsy
Making me feel guilty

Doubts my sincerity
Play acting my self pity
"Don't think!" they say to me
You always mess up things

I know at times i miss
Things like updating some lists
Or sometimes its incomplete
At least my mistakes i admit

why do you always get angry
For every single thing i say
You should take things easy
Not make a scene every day

I'm not your god damn enemy
Making a fool to you is not my wish
I really dont have a good memory
you dont believe me when i said this

"Throwing my Pitch"

I'm up at dawn and the mental gears are engaged,
the day will be long, my schedules been staged.

I've loaded my gear, trailer's ready to roll,
When sun dial hits 7:00, tis my cue to go.

Today is mowing, weed-eating, trimming and blowing
discarded leaves from trees that have been sowing.

Flower beds, homes and yards needing TLC,
assigned by their owners trustingly to me.

Like unmade beds and left over dirty dishes,
where a maid is hired to fulfill their wishes.

My services are rendered in the same intended way
to improve that which is neglected day after day.

The gift of good health to do all my work,
is a blessing from God, and not just a quirk.

To have this job at a time of economic strife,
Pleases me well, but I'd also like a wife!

I've no time to test the waters, to seek, to search
for a beautiful young gal to go with me to church.

So it's here to this site that I turn my attention
to publicly announce that I'm seeking her affection.

I'm a hard worker, fit, reliable and strong,
but to no-one that I'm in love with, do I belong.

'RICH' - I'm NOT!, (but neither am I shamefully poor),
Debt free I am, and 'DEBT' is something I want - NO MORE!

So excuse the attempt I've thrown out in poetic form,
to introduce myself as being available for your charm.

If preferences can be mentioned without insult or pain,
tis a younger, dark haired, slender beauty I hope to gain!

"OK ladies, your turn - I'm waiting!" :-)

WELCOME COME IN

Quick pace running
back & forth not
knowing which
way to go.
Customers passing by.
Sales clerk saying hi
have a great day.
Making sure this place
is friendly for all.
Wanting them to shop here.
To see my friendly face.
now go about your business
& say to the customers
have a blessed day.
Try each day to show your
gratitude for this job.
Make your boss see how
wonderful your
work effort can be.
Do above and beyond.
Be all that you can be.
Make your boss happy.

Flare Side

America the beautiful
Yeah
Let me introduce yall to the flare side
Julie was a loving wife
Had her husbands name on her neck
Death took him away
But a new man came to play
He went to jail
Something about drugs and a bar brawl
Now will it be 2016 or 2020 when she will have him all?
Dodododododo
Ha!
Then there was Bob
Been gone since Thanksgiving of 14
He was a fun guy to be around
You know what I mean?
But he loved smoking the jay
His attendance record was too spotty
That's what the management had to say
So after a year of good work they made him go away
His girlfriend got a job right in the department he used to work
He decided to be a jerk
I'll stay home for a year while she works
He had it all figured out
Then she met another guy at work
And then she moved out
This is what can happen for those who chose to walk on the flare side
dodododododododo
Ha!
Michael had everything going for him
A good wife a good life
A baby boy on the way any day
But he was worried he couldn't get hired on
And his good wife was in jail
So he missed a lot of work and caught hell
From the management
So he applied for another job and got an interview
But HR wouldn't give him a day to go
So he split that day back in January
I still don't know where he ended up
And this is how it is on the flare side

THE FRONT GATE MESSIAH

THE TOWERS OF QUAYSIDE; NOW THERE'S A REAL JOKE! THEY'LL HIRE MUSLIM TERRORISTS; BUT NO DOWN AND OUT; IN NEED OF A JOB, GIMOKE! THE SUPERVISORS ARE SUPPOSEDLY THERE TO SERVE THE MASSES; BUT THEY ARE CONTENT ON PASSING THE HOURS; SITTING ON THEIR BIG FAT ASSES! TWO MUSLIMS; FATHER AND SON; WHO JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NIGHT TO BE DONE! I WAS STATIONED AT THE FRONT GATE AND BECAUSE OF MY PERSONALITY; THE INCOMING TRAFFIC; WOULD GLADLY, WAIT! ALTHOUGH I WAS FIRED FOR LOVING ANIMALS, AND WEARING A FOREVER SMILE; I HELD MY HEAD UP HIGH; AND WENT OUT WITH LAUGHTER; AND NOT A SIGH! I'M SURE THE RESIDENTS WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS GUARD; WHO THROUGH HIS CARING MANNER; SET THE TOWERS ON FIRE! I'M SURE THE LORD WILL TRUELY BLESS ME; THE FRONT GATE MESSIAH!

About this poem:
FOR LOVING CATS, I WAS FIRED FROM A JOB THAT I TRUELY ENJOYED! GO FIGURE! I EARNED THE NICKNAME FRONT GATE MESSIAH BECAUSE THE SUPERVISORS WOULD COME TO ME FOR ANSWERS! THEY SAID SOME PEOPLE CAN WORK THE GATE, BUT TRAVIS; IS THE GATE!

The Girl at the Town Dump!

The Girl at the Town Dump!

The girl at the Town Dump is unbeknownst to me

Beckons all with a friendly smile to launch their hectic day!

Starting the day with a simple enjoyable, how are you?

Isn’t it a pleasurable way when a total stranger ~ that can do!

You look around and there you see

A bit different at the dumpster since her coming
A friendly face but that’s not all

She sweeps up the loose trash that has been displaced and throws it in the dumpster putting it in it‘s dirty place!

Of course you don’t want to eat upon it’s dumpy shores but it is better then walking in muck & mire

Hey! It’s a place to throw out trash and stuff
and even that defective worn out tire

We have a smiling housekeeper at our dump
married to her town dump job

She treats the residence of our town proud as she makes it one of the pleasantest dumps around

This dedication is to the unsung town hero’s that make Life worthwhile!
