Bah·rain

Persian
Gulf
pearl
urban
from
ancient
times
between
two seas
of salty
tears that
rain down
unrelentingly
while freshwater
springs up like hope
bubbling to the surface
may this aquifer remain
an oasis in the dessert
as the sands of time
blow across the
seas

" Baby It's Cold Outside"

Baby It's Cold Outside. Wish I had a place to hide. Somewhere warm inside. These signal digit temperatures are too cold for me. Under a blankie all cuddled in a ball is what you'll find when you come to call. Not doing much cause Baby It's Cold Outside. No, I don't dare to go out anywhere.

It's too cold for children to play as they beg to ride their sleigh. Instead they drive you crazy. Inside and in the way of all you had planned to do. Still, everyone loves a snow day. No school makes the kids say, how cool.

Be thankful for food and a warm home. Stay safe if you have to roam. Hopes are set for these cold days to pass. Then we will not be thinking that Baby It's Cold Outside. Soon it will be warmer weather at last.

Browning

I walked a long the weary lane,Of Browning trees as Autumn came.Alone with my dog and black thorn stick, In a nearby field where rabbits sit. They danced and played in the Autumn leaves, That fell like snowflakes from the trees. A burst of speed and a violent roar, And rabbits sit and play no more. A tall pine tree the wind brought down , to lay in contrast with the brown. But the brown again will turn to green, Where Autumn leaves so brown have been.

Hail to Kale

Embedded image from another site

If you like chips or crisps
All greasy and yummy
You wont’ be able to wait
To get these ones to your lips
So good for you and your tummy
Because they taste so great!

This lovely dark green leaf kale
Hailed, yes “Hail to Kale”
As the “worlds healthiest food”
So you know it’s got to be good!

It’s called the “new beef”
Those beautiful leafs
It’s the “queen of the greens”
You know what I mean!

It’s a lovely recipe with a twist
Very, very easy and oh so hip!

Recipe’
Dry the leaves well after washing
It's better for storing and tossing

Grab a large pan that you’ll be shovin’
Into a preheated 375 degree oven

· 1. Take all the green leaves off the stem
You don't want to use them
That part is thicker and bitter

· 2. Chop those leaves up nicely into chip/crisp sizes
This recipe will win you some smiles and prizes

· 3. Into a large bowl they will go with power

· 4. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil to shower

· 5. Tong toss them up add pepper and sea salt too
Everyone will love them Mmmmm - through and through

· 6. Now add that sensual chopped garlic

· 7 And some herbs you love fresh from the garden

· 8 Let that mixture sit that's the trick

· 9 Toss every once in awhile for the flavors to mix

Baking
Now, spread out this heavenly mixture on your pan
Into the oven is the plan

· In 15 minutes gently toss them around a bit
· In 30 minutes they are crisp and perfectly fit

Now you can munch on kale leaves just like chips
Use these crisps/chips as a delightful garnish
For any creative dish
Or simply eat them up . . .
Until they vanish!

A POEM BY A MAN CONSUMED W/CONTRITION ~free!~

and i MEAN THAT DEVOUTLY it's just most of your e-mails are like telling me stuph i've long ago lost intest in....such as if i use a word out of context, despite the fact that i did it purposelly....i just want people to wake up and think about Jesus, whether or not He was The Son Of Man i do not know, but I can say with surety that a man named Jesus of Nazareth walked this earth....now think about what a world this would be if everyone lived as He proscribed. I wouldn't be an arrogant moron, the first Bush didn't want war, no babies are ever killed, sexually mutilated and thown into the nearest dumpster. Methinks my Lord and Savior would frown upon what we are doing to this planet whereupon lobbyists in Wash.D.C.take $ to produce medications he wouldn't give his family because one of the side effects may be that you WILL DIE!

THEY SAID REPENT AND I WONDERED WHAT THEY MEANT

I revel in close calls
And that which I do takes balls
I’m comfortable hanging by a thread
While I eliminate the thought of my being dead

I swim through rough waters against the tide
And just keep repeating “Satan is on my side”
One must be aware of what turning a corner may bring
Because I look at life as if it is simply a fling

Each day is a joke and I am its punch line
And I don’t advise anyone to live a life like mine
It’s frightening and fearful and every day I fret
I worry about those I will meet and those I have met

I’m a man who lives with close calls and has balls
As I wander through lengthy and eerily dark halls
There’s always the haunting sound of someone turning a knob
And that’s what makes being an addict such a difficult job

Not Tonight but Tomorrow (1978)

Not tonight but tomorrow
when the light turns the peach
tree green and the Earth sprouts
its young leaves looking to repeat
the magical mystery tour of
photosynthetic conversion of light
and moisture into life—
Not tonight but tomorrow
when my body will have shed
its fear of turning old and soft
will I turn my speeding mind
into the tunnels of your psyche
to melt the calcium that constipates
your synapses into a lubricating powder—
Not tonight but tomorrow
when the Universe moves on
beyond the field of action
that is the Earth to me and you
will I discover the interplanetary clues
that signal the roots of my moment to you—
Not tonight but tomorrow
will I throw my feelings into
The streets to stew
in the violence and despair
of our planet—
Not tonight but tomorrow
will the Earth turn green again.

The Carousel ??

Embryos wait for all to know...
Infants rejoice to hear"no"...
As we find an answer..
We believe that its all good...
Suddenly our world is fine...
Today we find another in our search...
To rise to a virtual peace...
We find the answer to share in the Result...

mary had a little lamb

Years ago I sang that nursery rhyme
Mary had a little Lamb
and it was such a soothing song
I was able to feel at peace within my self
Now I meditate and practice concentrating
I have met my Mary
I love her
and I want to be with her
This is a happy moment in my life
Thanks to all who have contributed
The little lamb whos fleece was white as snow
joyful melody wonderful lady
White is a happy colour
everyone likes to be happy
sincerety and positive thoughts
God bless all the sheep in the world
as the song goes
we are poor little sheep
who have lost our way
Baa---baa---Baaaaaa
