Miracle Cure (scared straight)

don't stop light it up
here's a miracle cure
no hell no spells
no withdrawls guaranteed
millions of people are cured
you'll quit like millions of people did
smoke it up
black coat your lungs
smoke in your veins
don't worry cough it up
just tar in your heart
replace it don't be afraid
smoke four packs a day
you'll quit like millions of people did
now you got cancer but don't worry
we got a miracle cure
light it up
coat your lungs
smoke in your veins
tar in your heart
now your on your last breath
get some paper
crinkle it up
light it up one more time
now your eyes are closed one last time
air escapes your body
arm falls in that crinkled paper
that lit cigerette
burning paper
ashes you turn
see you quit and cancer free
like millions of people did
it's the miracle cure

Bountiful Winds

Whispering thoughts echo
Through the avenues of my mind
Frequently coming to crossroads
Creating a mental bind
Will i stay or will i go
My reasoning is unkind
Doubt is a deterrent
An is making me blind
Time it is to explore
New horizons i may find
Pull up that old anchor
Which is dragging me behind
Search for those bountiful winds
To change the essence of my time.........

Good Morning

Good morning, as you rise and shine
Another day in life is here
The hour has come to redefine
Your journey ‘cross the wild frontier
Beneath a sky, in cobalt hue
You’ll stroll along your merry route
While I hope all the best for you
As you continue your pursuit.

Good morning, as the moonlight fades
And you begin your daily chores
The dawn is bright; open the shades
Then, dream until each wish is yours
Throughout the day, you’ll move in stride
As I hold your heart in each prayer
Every time that you look outside
You’ll know that I am waiting there.

Good morning, as you greet the world
Once more, your life begins anew
A fresh beginning has unfurled
And brought your goals within your view
While you seek to embrace your dreams
I’ll wish you well, ‘til day is done
I’ll keep you safe, beneath my beams
Have a great day! Regards, the sun.

Today!

Now is the time to seize the day
No matter what, come what may,
To think too long would be a crime!
Do you really have the time?
The clock is ticking, It will not stop!
Tick Tock! Tick Tock! Tick Tock! Tick Tock!
To make this choice to change your life,
Just like the moment you chose your wife,
To have a dream you can make true,
Is possible here for all to view,
So take this moment and find the way,
To a better life right now TODAY!

The Fishermen.

Boat pushes out, they leave the shore and relatives behind,
They say it's bad luck to turn around,
To wave back thier goodbye's.
We watch them till they're seen no more,
Till we are dots upon thier shore,
but we don't want to cry no more,
For the fishermen's lonely lives....

Yo, Ho the fishermans life, is the song that they will sing,
We're hardy men upon our boat, our catch we shall bring in,
We'll bring them back the crabs and fishes and maybe some thing rare,
But out here on our fishing boat, our ocean we must care....

HEY!,grab the net there Johnny, Mick, come on Joe, are you right ?,
The blasted net has got me arm its pinching me too tigh,
For with the sea inside me eyes, the waves they are too high,
Don't let me leave this side of boat, I do not want to die....

The coldness is a feirce one, my arm is turning blue,
Come on there Lad's, will you hurry up, Dont let me time be through,
I think the hook is in me arm, its wegged me to the boat,
But the over hang is far too heavy, I hope we stay a float....

Just cut the net, save me arm, I need it more, than we have caught,
Let them go the crabs and fishes, release the bluddy lot.
Joe takes out his pocket knife, starts chawing at the rope,
I think he's cut the net in time to save me arm I hope....

They've snip the hook thats held me down, thats wegged me to the side,
They know the pain is easier now, they see it in my eyes.
They've saved me arm, we've lost our catch,
But tomorrows another day,
We'll bull the nets to get our catch,
And we'll be on our way,
Singing........

Yo Ho, the fishermans life, T'is a hardy life you see,
But we are strong and we are tough, t'is where we want to be,
We'll lore our nets and home our catch, and maybe something rare,
But the rarest thing I'll ever have, is my family waiting there....

Dotted on the shore......

Super Bowl Commercial

It can be hard to know when you need a new job
As a rule if you hate going to work every day
It may be time
If you hate going to work every day
And your coworkers don't respect you
It may be time
If you hate going to work every day, your coworkers don't respect you
And you wish you were somewhere else
It may be time
If you hate going to work every day, your coworkers don't respect you
You wish you were somewhere else
And you cry constantly
It may be time
If you hate going to work every day, your coworkers don't respect you
You wish you were somewhere else, you cry constantly
And you daydream of punching small animals
It may be time
If you hate going to work every day, your coworkers don't respect you
You wish you were somewhere else, you cry constantly
You daydream of punching small animals
And you sit next to this guy
It may be time
If you make loads of money
It may not be time
But if you make loads of money, you hate going to work
No one respects you
You wish you were some where else
You cry constantly
You daydream of punching small animals
And you sit next to this guy
It's probably time
As a rule

The Feeling of Flying

Sometimes at night
When I lay my head to rest
I close my eyes and imagine:
It is the pillow which is old and tired
and it is I who am light and fluffy.

Things Heard At Work

Bull@#$%!!
Didn't Al tell you how to do that?
If you come back late from break I'm writing you up
You won't get hired on here if you don't eat Johnson's brats.
I don't need the exercise, so enough with the burning holes.
Why did you do that?
We'll come to you either way if you are or are not hired on
Why did you take so long to clean those windows?
I want to know who was the one that knocked my files all over!
They said no cheese! Go in the back and clean up!
I can hear those kids all the way in my office!
I'm telling the principal on you!
Did you steal my scanner?
If you don't start picking 9 lines an hour you'll be fired!
Moon lost a finger.
Do you like your job?
We need more pans!
Does anyone have any questions?
Work safe and don't get run over.
You're not allowed to stand around, stay busy!
I got goosed with a metal rod, what should I do?
Do you take a shower every day?
Did you use the n word?
Are you consistent with discipline?

About this poem:
Just some of the many things I have heard people say to me at different jobs I have had. From detassling corn, Hardee's cook, panwasher, teacher, cheese maker, freezer shipper, and my last job of muffler making. Needless to say, it's been painful!
