I Give Up

I give up on you,
on us, on me.
I give up on love,
on life, on hope.
I give up on care,
on want, on need.
I give up on God,
on Jesus, on faith.
I accept the dark,
the death, the end.

My life

I'm worn down fourty hours at a jog I hate
My life is unwinding its just to late
Its hard to keep goin I just want to stop
I'm at the bottom I cant't see the top
I'm slowly dieing my soul is crushed
I keep yelling but my voice is hushed
I want to be you butI'm stuck as me
I need to get away but its insanity
You see me here but I'm already dead
I can't take it backits the life I've led

Feathers

The hand will fall upon his head,
moving him right to left,
his voice will fall to deaf ears,
His emotions slowly are dead.

Singing his lullaby will lull his wall,
climb the bobbed wire peak,
he still will call but not to you,
though he will not let your mind fall.

Let him feel your pulsing heart,
bring his emotions whilst they degrade,
watch him as he spreads his wings,
Even to just be a part.

Each feather a thought,
though many turn from white,
he cries for those that are black,
Destroy the pain that his emotion has brought.

Love him tenderly though as a friend,
now until he says a word changed,
remember each thought a feather for you too,
in time his emotion will mend.

What does that mean?

in the realms of fabrication
where dreams and nightmares
undecidedly lose their brass tacks
i was considering dancing a waltz
when i came across a pseudo old chap

i asked him if he could curl ones liver
as sobriety, melancholy and wistfulness
had simply become to much to bare
but he just shuffled and stared at me blankly
and said 'que veut dire ceci?

Red and Black

Broken into peices...my heart, my sanity, my being. I can't seem to stop the crying. And there you lie...so inoccently...so cold. Am I dreaming? High above myself I watch...waiting...waiting for it all to fade to black.

I'm seeing red today...someone please explain. This isn't really happening...is it? Have I completely lost my mind? When my mind is all I have left...what shall I do now? My heart and soul were ripped away from me years ago. He keeps them in a box in his closet. Or has he long since thrown them in the garbage?

Please just wake up! I can't stand these crazed thoughts! I don't know who I am anymore. Can you tell me? Just keep it together...you can do it. They'll never know that anything is wrong. Paint on that smile...hold that head high...try not to cry. I've done this for so long now...this should be natural. Am I normal? Here comes that red again...please turn black...

My War

I will never shrink into the night
Always standing my ground to fight
Battle till the very last breath
Keep on fighting to the very death
For those who wish to wager war
Think wisely before you wish to explore
I will make you writhe and scream
For my tenacious strength you have not seen
If you choose not to believe
Your delusions I will gladly relieve
Relieve with a twisted pleasure
Releasing you at my leisure

warped minds of death

while you walked through the forest, souls of the dead screamed through rats, could the apocalyps come right now, your heart bleeds, but you never die,(chorus) through the fields of red fire, the horned beast takes roll call, angels dance naked with each other,in your dreams, warped minds of death. (2v) though you dont remember things living, only blackness lights your soul, evil doers go door to door, recruiting devils handymen for rituals.(chorus). (3v) see your mind race a thousand times, blinded by whores who relic in deception, only death can you walk on water, lords of reprise will own your soul.(chorus) fade out: they have,,,,,,warped minds of death,...... only in darkness,....(WARNING::THIS SONG IS COPYRIGHTED AND CAN NOT BE REPRODUCED WITHOUT WRITTEN CONSENT FROM THE WRITER)

<——As is as is——>

Always as movements in the grass. timing is like a shot gun. Shoot reload shoot reload,
enemy’s everywhere I use the sky to calm the air,
destination unknown cities outgrown death circles like vultures in the sky, looking for a feed to set the atmosphere. Everywhere as I walk through the valley of death I become the valley and the sea,
COVID patients in search of an excuse to belong this is so wrong, immunity was once grown let it be known,
survival is constant invent to defend destroy such a ploy,
playing with something unknown,
is such that it all has grace to save face,
underground is where we’ll be hiding from the sea.
Yet cherishing it all to begin with nothing but lies in disguise destroy rebuild disguise rebuild history in a hat a magician without the cat,
a fool looking up so it is as such it’s all or bust,
never ending tales of Turmoil,
restructure reinvent just vent,
armies circling around land mines in standing ground halt halt halt,
revolt revolt revolt,
Destinations of existence of a life once worn upon the sleeve now it’s nothing but thieves,
graveyards full,
plagues upon plagues, fighting for who don’t know why don’t know when it storms again. Situation disarmed the people rest just to begin another test,
the future is unkind everyone goes blind into the darkest of nights we deploy our battlefield is ready our minds are steady rest rest rest as much as i can say agent orange in the air masks on,
rebuild restructure reinvent,
constant torment another day begins walking through tunnels already made situations cannot leave it’s partly the grief let us go again shoot kill destroy it’s all or nothing winner takes all no room for thoughtful doom is this my room shrouded in mystery,
calm be still someone walks through time stands still.
Rebuild restructure reinvent,
rebuild restructure reinvent. Gold mines calling time grows short off the lights go set the scheme for another dream……. (3:16). S.A.D

**If I Could Take You Into Me

Inside the dance of night time stars
Decorating the skies in grease white chalk lines
Inside my mind, they wash out and wrinkle down the steps
A song of tragedy plays too sweetly
Yet, I could take the tune and take you into me
Like a submission for you fear so greatly
In the decorated lives of a soldier’s memory
It’s wartime in the city
And god if I could fit you somewhere inside of me
I’d know that I’d be happily in tune
If I could come too soon when you’re inside of me
To simply understand this holding on is holding on is holding on
Until my bleeding flesh grasps the fibers
Of tiny human faces in places I’ll never be
You see
A rope of choices around your neck
Is the rope of you around mine
In the extinguished flames of rage that pass
My jumper cables cut into you
To charge a single moment of feeling
That burns up in a flash
So rapid
Like the pieces of my puzzle
That hit the floor in slow motion light
You are left flickering before me
A pattern of a thousand eyes staring down
Freezing up the room in the disturbance
A pale concentration
Reminding me of the impurities of what I do
I wish I could touch you and not lose my form
A substantial glare of an image
A time we were so uselessly serine
I grasp so tightly in my hand
Willing you to pour yourself into me
With tears that write songs
Of murderous cells that dance in the crimson waves
Like sultry bedroom eyes in a quaint disguise
In hiding
I stare at this ring so long I begin to grow blind
Until I realize in time
It was a dream of dreaming of dreaming I was dreaming
And screaming out your name with impossibility tied upon me
I’m growing dry staring at my reflection
I reach in and shake my hand
I understand your plight, my friend
It’s the messages you send
Of keeping yourself behind defenses
In the colors of the motion
In the ocean
Crawling along the sandy floor searching for a tiny reminder
Kinder people wearing masks of security
Making humor to peel away the danger
And If I could take you into me
I think you’d understand
How much I need to close my eyes
To pretend
To disguise this fragile face of me
If I could take you into me

About this poem:
I wrote this poem and many others during a time when I was involved with a man who had some commitment problems. He lived with me for a year and then decided to move out while continuing a relationship with me. I went through a lot of emotional turmoil and found solace in writing these poems and performing in open mic poetry readings around town. Oddly enough, that is where I met my husband a couple of years later.

The poem is somewhat s*xual, but the underlying meaning is that I wanted that man to understand me. I wanted him to "be inside" of me to understand how I felt.
