i don't belong to you

i am not yours, not lost in you,

not lost, although i long to be

lost as a candle lit at noon,

lost as a snowflake in the sea.

you love me, and i find you still

a spirit beautiful and bright,

yet i am i, who long to be

lost as a light is lost in light.

oh plunge me deep in love—put out

my senses, leave me deaf and blind,

swept by the tempest of your love,

a taper in a rushing wind.

For a fighter

You were lost, and you did not understand that you should return, you walked and found no contrasts, you shone and there was no silence to let you be.
You searched for nothing, you gave up your promises, you humiliated your immortal condition, you left the end at the beginning, you stood on the wall of doubt.
You reached the threshold of failure, you turned your back on faith.
Even so, you are on time to finish what you have never started, break the chains that you yourself have created. Be Brave and look again! If it is victory! That is do not expect it to come to you! Arrive and Get it, along with this comes Happiness! ??

Silence Molds Clouds All Day

Silent shadows
running thru everglades,
Silence molds clouds
all-day

Silent moonlight
bouncing thru cypress trees,
Silence swings low thru
the gate

Yet
when my heart
is with you
its shield breaks
oh Lord how it breaks
in the most
tender way.

Silent snowflake
falling like a dancing ghost
Silence two steps across
the lake

Silent stones
cobble no thoughts,
Silence gives my heart
away

reverse UFO engineering

One night I sat down with Native American people
and briefly discussed with them
what the f*** are those flying things
Brown faced horse hit me a belt for laughing at the moon and
after that we all got on fine but it was in the middle of the afternoon

WHEN I WAS YOUNG

In my quietest moments,
My deepest longing to forget,
Yet for all my earnest longing,
Memories haven't faded quite yet,

But with strength of pure will,
I push on forward still,
I keep reaching high above,
Seeking forgiveness and love,

Was a time when I was young,
Before I knew any real truth,
That what I longed so deeply for,
May never, ever take root,

But as Summer turned to Fall,
And the sun's light forshortened,
After long cold Winter days,
Spring arrived with grand importance,

And with the Love of God's Will,
I push on stronger still,
I finally reached high enough above,
To lay hold of my Saviour's ever-lasting Love,

Was a time when I was young,
Before I knew any real truth,
What I'd so deeply longed for,
One Glorious Day would take root,

So reach out to Him,
From deep depths of despair,
God will always be waiting,
With open arms, tender mercies, loving care.

About this poem:
On October 7, 2017, my 85yr old father murdered my older brother's wife then killed himself. Its been extremely difficult to find forgiveness for him. But seasons have changed. And it's getting very close to Spring. All happiness is on the verge of full bloom.

THE UNKNOWN

Alice,” I cried, desperation in my voice, “where are you?”
But only deafening, painfully so, silence all around me.
Could she, in the blink of an eye, have disappeared and how?
Do things like this happen in real life, I thought only in the movies.

Early evening it had been and we were sitting quietly drinking tea.
Faint glow in the sky as the sun slowly sank beyond the horizon.
Gathering storm clouds billowed like manic riders across the sky.
Hideous screams rent the night and sudden lightning flashes.

I could see nothing. I had been temporarily blinded by the brightness.
Just as I was beginning to panic my sight started to slowly return.
Knowing that there was something amiss was almost instant.
Left of me there was a tree with a red trunk and black spikes on it.

Moreover from this tree were hanging small animals with green fur.
Nothing else that I could see resembled anything that I was familiar with.
Only then I suddenly realised that nowhere could I see Alice.
Panic took hold of me , I am ashamed to say, and I called out for Alice.

Questions kept racing around in my mind but not one could I answer.
Round and round my thoughts did go but no solution’s ending.
So there forlornly I sit in a foreign land, reality has left me stranded
There’s no way, sense to make, for sanity has surely left me.

Under my feet I can feel the ground, there’s movement like a heartbeat.
Very faint and very soft there is sound, a bit like angels singing.
What does it all mean? As I pondered everything around me changed.
X-ray, that’s what it reminded me of. Shades of gray and see through.

You will be alright. Don’t move, the ambulance is on its way.”
Zaria is my name and I will look after you until it gets here.”

Regret and pain

Here I am, stumbling down the street
The rain's pouring down
I'm staring at my feet

But splashing on my feet it is
my tears and not the rain
They're are salty and bloodstained
From my agonizing pain

Nobody could be more
mad at me than me
Why was I so stupid?
Never again will she trust me

She's asking me too many questions
Ones I want so much to ignore
But I've brought this on myself
What else could I have been asking for?

When I think about the way things are
The tears roll down my face
If only I could turn back time
I would've never ended up in this place.

EVERY SKY IS A NEW SKY

EVERY MORNING IS A NEW MORNING
and EVERYDAY IS A NEW DAY
and EVERY NIGHT IS A NEW NIGHT

BUT STILL
I WISH I COULD LOVE MORE

AND EVERY ROSE IS A NEW ROSE
and EVERY FULL MOON IS A NEW MOON
and EVERY SKY IS A NEW SKY

BUT STILL
I WISH I COULD RISK MORE

AND EVERY HEARTBEAT IS A NEW HEARTBEAT
and EVERY BREATH IS A NEW BREATH
and EVERY SMILE IS A NEW SMILE

BUT STILL
I WISH THAT I COULD BE MORE

About this poem:
Blowing through heaven and earth, and in our hearts and the heart of every living thing, is a gigantic breath—a great Cry—which we call God. Plant life wished to continue its motionless sleep next to stagnant water, but the Cry leaped up within it and violently shook its roots: “Away, let go of the earth, walk!” Had the tree been able to think and judge, it would have cried, “I don’t want to. What are you urging me to do! You are demanding the impossible! But the Cry, without pity, kept shaking its roots and shouting, “Away, let go of the earth, walk!”
Animals appeared--worms--making themselves at home in water and mud. "We're just fine here," they said... But the terrible Cry hammered itself pitilessly into their loins. "Leave the mud, stand up, give birth to your betters!"... And lo! after thousands of eons, man emerged, trembling on his still unsolid legs... He has been fighting, again for thousands of eons, to draw himself, like a sword, out of his animalistic scabbard. He is also fighting--this is his new struggle--to draw himself out of his human scabbard. Man calls in despair, "Where can I go? I have reached the pinnacle, beyond is the abyss." And the Cry answers, "I am beyond. Stand up!"

Tiny Shred Of Love

Floating, heart askew
In the dark deep tunnel of nothing
Claw with every cell of me
Reach out for anger greed sorrow
Not the alone gray empty
Tiny shred of light
I wait for, hope for
A delusion there to help
Hold my hand tighter
Around the severing rope
My only tie to the world
A better life, twinkle dust
Of joy, love, a home
No more tears, aching soul
For a touch to hold on
Until then hope for, wait for
The tiny shred of love.
