Dream Catcher

Dream Catcher blowing gently above
Weave me a Dream of my true love
Passing through your delicate web
Nothing but good dreams doth reach my bed

Dreaming a beautiful dream in my mind
Caught in a different world and time
A dream of gentle ocean breezes
Sounds and smells to my mind pleases

Sounds of water from a mountain stream flowing
Speeding along to the ocean a going
Soothing my spirit like a smooth stone
Meandering and always forever on the roam

The sound of a wolf howling on the wind
Touching my soul as though we are kin
A full moon and bright stars shining at night
Like hung candles flickering their lights

Let me dream of my true love tonight
Let me see them in the moonlight
And I pray when light doth come at daybreak
They will still be there when I awake

Dark Energy (not poetic)

Dark Energy is the accepted hypothesis,
Of energies permeating 70% of space,
And accelerate the expansion of the universe,
From the researches study of astronomy.

Many of it's nature remains in speculation,
More is still unknown than known about it,
Its possible for more space to come into existence,
And Dark Energy can possess it's own energy!

It's undetectable in laboratory experiments,
One model for it is called Quintessence,
The other is Cosmological Constant,
Both common characteristic models PRESSURE must be negative.

Defining total energy of The universe is indefinite,
Due to the theory of gravity of General Relativity,
To reconcile the measured geometry of space,
With the total amount of The universe's matter.

The princess of Cafe Castle

Many a poet had written
of her beauty..
She was not unaware of
the exotic whispers that
blew through the snow
covered forests that boardered
the mighty castle
Yet, somehow, the words of
the poets fell deft on her lonely
heart though they drew their
words from the blinding gems
of sense and fragile human
passion
On dreary nights her fingertips
would gently carress a wine filled
golden golblet as she gazed across
a lonely landscape from her high and
lofty terrace
Only the mere flickering of candlelight
would illumine her royal quarters and
she would fondle the fringes of the castle
odrapery dreaming the dream of love
She only met him once on the field of
battle yet for those few moments their
eyes locked in time with a promise of love
safeguarded by an illusive wind
She would attend the royal banquets
She would dally with the court jesters
and even throw them the shadows of
an impossible hope
How long would the days drag on?
What were the chances that his hands
would lift her sleek form as a captured
doe and watch her lay limp in surendered
passion
The night had died
Her hope was dying as
she lay naked in tears
and black pearls
It was only that small
scuffled sound that brought
a tinge of hopefullness to
a darkened heart
A lone figure stood at the
entrance to her chamber..
It was him..
Silently, he approached
her bed letting drop his iron
helment
Her glazed eyes closed with
hot tears..
He fell upon her surendered
soul as a warrior takes the spoil
He was..The golden knight**

DRAGONS BREATH!

These days, I seemed almost always down,
My brow creased with an almost permanent frown,
I had almost given up on my latest story for good,
Wrapped round my warm coat, pulled up the hood,
Headed for the beach,
Maybe, for some inspiration to reach.
The waves were rough, sparse clouds rushing, blowing up a storm,
Wind getting brisker, though it seemed to be pulsating, eerily warm,
I remember feet lazily kicking the sand,
A short distance from the stormy waves crashing on land,
…BANG!
I involuntarily jumped!
…BANG!
Heart thumped….Blood pumped,
My ears rang, my senses surrendered,
Surrounded by the unearthly scream of air being rendered,
Stinging, blinding sand…. Shadows, flying, fleeting,
The sound of…..Flapping….Beating,
An eruption of flame, glowing coal red eye,
Defying the dark cold of the starry night sky.
I was struck dumb, immobile, completely smitten,
For…Exactly as from my imagination I had written,
There…..THERE!…
Sitting on the beast’s back, wand held high in the air,
With starry eyes and floating hair…..
He looked at me….A full on stare,
I gasped!….dreamweaver himself!
He nodded…..A smile crossing his lips, full of care,
Then suddenly, the feeling that the time had come,
To leave this realm and to wakefulness succumb,
Then the mental wrench,
Ozone stench,
My dream,
Does seem,
To die…. A sudden death…
………………..
No… Wait……
The eerily warm pulsating breeze, there, though fading,
A false memory?……..
No…..Realization growing…
A smile….A knowing….
The Remnants of Dragons Breath!

Sometimes love never dies

It was a cold windy night
As I turned off the light
I heard your voice call my name
I pulled the blankets over my head
The wind was whistling and whipping around
I didn't make a sound
Once again you called my name
I closed my eyes tightly
I felt you brush the hair out of my eyes
I was afraid to look into your eyes
I could feel a tear drop fall upon my face
I knew in my heart it was you
In a low whisper you told me I would be okay
Said you didn't have much time to stay
I opened my eyes only to see your beautiful blue eyes
Oh how I miss you so
Tears rolled down my face
You kissed away my tears
You took away my fears
I asked why you ?
Why couldn't you stay with me ?
Why did God take you away ?
You promised me you were in a better place
You gently kissed my lips
The winds no longer were whistling and whipping around
My eyelids grew heavy
I felt at peace
my heart didn't hurt so much
You took my hands into yours
Told me you loved me so
All the racing thoughts went away
I fell into a deep sleep
When I awoke I was alone
I thought I could smell your cologne
Was it a dream or did you come to me
In my deep time of need ?

DAWN IN THE GLEN

Streaks of pink and gold in the sky
Sparkling silver intricate spider webs
As the shining sun bids night goodbye
Waking the inhabitants from their beds

Songs drifting from high in the trees
While the Fairies bathed in the dewdrops
Glitters like bright diamonds on gossamer wings
Green frogs on lily pads hopped

Spirits were high as the new day began
Clean and fresh promising everything anew
Colorful dragon and butterflies flitted over the land
Sipping the nectar of the colorful flowered jewels

Sprinkling on each a touch of fairy dust mist
Yellow Buttercups, Pansies, Roses and Violets
Giving each of them a light kiss
Then flying on through the golden sunlight

Another day in the Glen had begun
Bringing a new promise from the morning sun.

Probing for Intelligence

Embedded image from another site

We sent a golden record on a voyage deep into outer space
But still the nearest star is forty thousand light years away
And on this record are some sounds from the planet earth
From falling rain and crashing waves, to the songs of whales and birds
Pieces of our culture, arts and science, Bach and Beethoven
Mathematical diagrams, and a naked couples silhouette are on this token
Insects and mother nature with a map that even leads the way
To the blue populated planet in the middle of the milky way
In fiftysix different languages we sent a message saying hello
Nasa gathered all this information and sent it in this probe
A time capsule some may call as drifts further into the deep
Of nothing beyond infinity as we wonder who it will reach
We told them of our strengths and goals, our aspirations and our dreams
A peaceful civilization, but really we were only lying through our teeth
We didnt send them the sounds of bombs or deaths from endless wars destruction
The image of poverty and pollution, nor greedy desires for total domination
Just a colorful painted picture of what we hope and want to be
Hopefully these beings are a peaceful bunch and we can live together in harmony
But if we have already made contact then with good reason the governments would want to lie
Do you remember Orson Welles broadcast when people started running for their lives
Besides we can barely communicate with our own families much less another race
Just think of how you killed the spider that was an alien on your leg
Or the man who's treated different because of the color of his skin
Or the one thats looked at as an enemy because of his foreign religion
All someone would have to ask is do you believe in God and is He worth fighting for
If they answer no then history repeats itself and we have an interstellar war
But what if we make contact with a race something like the Borg
"Resistance is futile" and they step on us like cockroaches on the floor
So my question is do we really want to send an invitation deep into unknown
Or do we wait silent and still and let universal nature take its coarse

About this poem:
Still nerding it , The Voyager spacecraft was launched in 1977 and on this probe NASA opted to give its journey more purpose by creating an electroplated gold record of our planet by a committee chaired by Carl Sagan of Cornell University. Several things are on this record more then the few I mentioned in the poem. And a message from the president of the time that says in his voice
"This is a present from a small, distant world, a token of our sounds, our science, our images, our music, our thoughts and our feelings. We are attempting to survive our time so we may live into yours." — U.S. President Jimmy Carter

Voyager 1 will be within 1.6 light years of the star Gliese 445, currently in the constellation Camelopardalis, in about 40,000 years. Where is it now? In March 2012, Voyager 1 was over 17.9 billion km from the Sun and traveling at a speed of 3.6 AU per year and out of the eleven equipment carried on Voyager 1, five of them still work, and continue to send back data today. NASA plans to shut down the voyager spacecraft completely in 2025. After that, it will continue on its course for an eternity.

I wonder how would we react to this event. Are we ready to meet an advanced race of beings without panic or starting a war and if they did come would they be peaceful because if not I believe it would be like bringing spears to a nuclear fight.

The Orson Welles War of the World 1938 broadcast, kinda long but well orchestrated. For those that do not know , Orson orchestrated a radio broadcast complete with program interruptions, special bulletin reports that martians have entered our planets atmosphere and people lost their minds and started quite a pandemic, so really are we any different now from then. Maybe.....

FAERIES ROUND ABOUT

November 30, 2012

Gazing upon Killarney’s Flesk river,
where the dense green twining ivy grows.
There, a canopy of moss laden trees,
craves the fine mist as the swift river flows.

Flowing and moving over time-worn stone,
pounding and shaping every curve and dip.
Evening brings creatures down to the still pools,
for a long awaited cool and quenching sip.

The forest takes on a new dimension.
The changing light makes you question your eyes.
You turn your head, wondering what you saw;
perhaps a small bird, maybe Dragonflies.

Green hues explode in the filtered sun light.
Your senses tingle, but you know not why.
Dusk is the time when magic comes to life;
everything shimmers and pleases the eye.

Those who hold dear their childhood wishes,
will know forest magic and have no doubt.
Dragonflies morph into dancing light beams,
then hundreds of faeries fly all about.

Safe are we in the Forest Killarney.
A faery-spell veil keeps danger away.
Elixir of Blackthorn and faery dust,
makes us faery small...we can fly and play.

The sky grows dark. The horned owls hoot loudly.
A bonfire is lit ‘neath the rising moon.
Moss covered branches make soft seats for rest,
as faeries they hum a night forest tune.

I carefully listen, watch and I learn,
from the stories shared of times long ago.
Faeries, keepers of magic and knowledge;
I am humbled to find just how much they know.

Humbled this night by the gift of welcome;
the child I was, in glimpses I see.
Growth, true release and wisdom have followed
my sober return to reality.

About this poem:
This poem came to me today and I feel it reflects some thoughts regarding a recent vision quest. I traveled last week to the Ancient Redwood Forest in Ca, and saw incredible things there that set my mind reeling. I went there for an inward glance and some answers. I was granted both and I saw things I cannot explain. Or can I?

FG3.....Rise Of The Groth...(dreamweaver,prelude)

At the bottom of the deepest sea, or, higher than high,
On a mountain top……Near the roof of the world, where only dragons fly,
In our dreams, he is there….. He wanders through them,
chooses, one or two…… Here and there,
a couple at a time, as, and when, it pleases him to,
he takes them, as is his will to do.
though with a touch, like a feather, so light,
sweetness of mind, in thought, of a kind,
intangible colours, softly flowing, of honest hue.
A magical aura, around him, gently glowing,
a genuine affection, true hope growing.
Cosseted, fondly nurtured, supported,
coaxed and persuaded,
like a beautiful flower, with wisdom watered,
all gathered, subtly altered,
cared for, sorted.
Then woven…… With threads so mysterious, included of all life’s essence,
soft incandescence,
finally, making sure, everything is golden and of benevolence.

He summons the beast with an urgent thought,
The thought hovers for an instant, before on a mountain breeze being caught,
arriving almost at once, proudly, always ready in an hour of need,
Vision of majesty……Dreamweaver’s steed!

In a single bound, leaping, then…..With legs, neck gripped,
his master, on huge back did sit,
Urgently… The harness was pulled……..
"Upward....Speedily onward……." The sky beckoned,
lightning flickered……
The route to be taken, through darkened, stormy weather,
by instinct reckoned.
Then an awesome demonstration of power, as flapping and beating.…. Caused……Draft for flight,
For the long journey into night, thoughts of two destinies meeting.
With enormous wings of bone and leather,
he, masters beast, loyal as ever,
Of a sudden, is borne aloft!
Look up….
See underbelly, green, yellow, soft!
Huge talons, twin crystals clutched,
never before by mortals, seen nor touched,
flaring nostrils, Fiery breath,
lighting the way, by glowing coal red eye,
that does intelligent strength imply.
Course charted now...... From this dimension to the next!
