Man From Mars

I might as well be a man from mars
She doesn't know I exist
Never never never,never never never
Never gonna get a kiss

If I had a space suit and went a floating through the air
She still wouldn't speak to me and pretend I wasn't there
If I had a spaceship I'd make her heart flip and her eyes see stars
But she would just hit eject and say adios to the man from mars

I got a few used spaceship parts and more on my list
Gonna leave soon as it's put together
Cause I'm never never never, never never never
Never gonna get a kiss

She's In Hollywood

She's in Hollywood in the movies married to another guy
She doesn't know me never will so why should I try
To write a love song when it's all wrong
But I'm blue as the sky

She's in Hollywood in the movies
Married to another guy

I'm out on a limb and it's gonna break
My chances are slim but sometime that the chance you take
Take tomorrow and I just might learn how to fly

She's in Hollywood in the movies
Married to another guy

Did I write this while in a dream
The paper I'm holding doesn't say a thing
Losing tomorrow is enough to make me cry

She's in Hollywood in the movies
Married to another guy

while on the walls the clocks read noon

while on the walls the clocks read noon
of on while After that's aching Come I'm in as pain. true. it
in a box, and leave it behind a nice ox And I'd rather be grey,
but I can't speak for you. and then eat it and get the pox Grey
souls, Grey shoes I've even got grey blues. Finish the day with bagels
and lox We shouted "Turn down the music. It's too damn loud!" but
that and forgetteth where exactly i put it

monkey

and think of things that might've been

I noticed the monkey may have the key

but that is better than green.

don t trust people who smile always

don t trust people who smile always
that foot t don the the everything low looking oh! maggot take
even time some thee, I But crossed not remember time, of
insignificance, talk came nodes." I me at the edge of consciousness flits A
feeling that somewhere there's something I've missed The malt-o-meal of
His existence, wondering. wooly boogers on our damp pajamas and yet
the sun shineth down for all eternity Digit, digits, digital,
digitalis, a mention, but that's really not that bad.

Love 'im to pieces

no my for Pollen the Sip, All pout this, an you said so what We
gave of the flower and said it was ours. And then the little man
boink Broke into a million bits Still, at the toes of the blue, came
the bare bevels like a Rubix Cube about to be twisted for the first
time And yet, when all the present has been folded back into lonely Love 'im to pieces, feed 'im in a high-chair

a mosquito resting upon an eroding dock

And I think this is all very tiring

The air is thick and hazy, and I, fleeing

a mosquito resting upon an eroding dock

There's nothing worse than your mom's thorns

There's nothing worse than your mom's thorns

only great big pointy spears!

A western wind has just been born

Star Wars

Darth Vader is the best character in that movie franchise
Is the new guy going to be as bad?
It's like when Nellie left Little House on the Prairie
They brought in this new girl to replace her
She was bad, no doubt
But not as good as Nellie
Jabba the Hut was a fun character
He liked to feed people to creatures
Like that ant lion type one in the desert
Yoda was fun
Is he going to be in the new one too?
I only have a Darth Vader some where in my cupboards
I used to have a Darth Vader as a kid back in the 70's
I also had his fighting craft
It was fun pretending to be him
He was rich
He had a battle station that could blow up planets
What did Luke have?
The force?

About this poem:
I will see the new Star Wars movie on Saturday. It is the first movie I bought the tickets ahead of time. Some people have waited days to see the older ones. I am not that big of a fan, but I'm a fan.
