Dark Energy (not poetic)

Dark Energy is the accepted hypothesis,
Of energies permeating 70% of space,
And accelerate the expansion of the universe,
From the researches study of astronomy.

Many of it's nature remains in speculation,
More is still unknown than known about it,
Its possible for more space to come into existence,
And Dark Energy can possess it's own energy!

It's undetectable in laboratory experiments,
One model for it is called Quintessence,
The other is Cosmological Constant,
Both common characteristic models PRESSURE must be negative.

Defining total energy of The universe is indefinite,
Due to the theory of gravity of General Relativity,
To reconcile the measured geometry of space,
With the total amount of The universe's matter.

Dragon

mystical creature are you
breathing fiery breath
scales glistening
tail with its fork
evil can you be
as you defend your nest
claws ready to strike and rend
to wing you take with a roar
yet good friend to some
as you help them
many a quest flown
from your back
as you carry hero's afar
their victory then assured
dragon of fire and beauty
I believe in you

Bill has had copies of about photos since he agreed to judge
he did earlier today suggest a different photo for the 2nd creature
but I stuck firm as the poem I wrote was based on the two photos below

visions or illusions (challenge)

Author: shadow1950

visions through misty streams of fog
sometimes espied then in a blink gone
what was it that briefly appeared
was it even ever really there?

a shifting shape a puzzling glimpse
do my eyes deceive me as I peer
trying to see if its real or not
my eyes oft do perceive an illusion

for such creatures can't really exist
they are the things of legends
yet my soul says they are really there
which should I believe I ask myself?

of all the things that come to us
in dreams or awake are they just hocus pocus

Glintinting her white curvy figure
Her pointed nose pointing up to the sky
Her nose cone her heat shield

Gracefull magestic she look
Her long slender figure
Down to her skirt
Her satin rockets powerfull beasts

Lots of hydrogen she has to burn
To lift her off the launch pad on which she stands
Appllo the sun god the name she was given

To unvail her majestic curve s

To the final stage she strips all her body till she leaves are planet earth

Out of earths atmosphere she now is weight less
Her nose enters space

To the moon she travels protecting her passangers
Her astrounauts her fellow travellers in space

Fairy Dance (Shadow Challenge)

Come midnight
Venus and Mars,
in inky sky
sprinkled with stars...

They pick a star
to make a fan
dancing in the air
just because they can..

On top of toadstool
upon second glance,
in clothing of flower petals,
I saw fairies dance...

Then out on lake
still hard to believe,
the fairies danced
upon boats of leaves...

Now the moon is out
the sun is gone,
the fairies will dance
until break of dawn...

Sits on her nest
Clucking all day long
She picks and preens
Her feathers

Making sure there pristen
She nibbles her protien feed

Building up her strengh to lay and feed
Nice brown and white eggs she does produce

Till one day she's no longer able to lay
Cluck with excited strains to lay her eggs for that day

Morning Solar

Embedded image from another site

I sometimes sit up for hours analyzing the night
Tracing lines from star to star mapping out my life
As I listen for the voice of the planets who's soul calls out to mine
Im captivated by a beauty so infinite beyond my eyes
In my dreams I dream I live on my own constellation
Two blocks from Orions belt three light years from the beginning of our creation
Where you can hear the universe sing its quiet lullaby
Like an angel that sits in heaven keeping a watchful eye
How beautiful the earth is under the lighting of the moon
As I float further into outer space my heart is there with you
The one I call my first love is the graceful morning sky
Because I know that when I wake up my dreams never say goodbye
They bring me into a new day where wild flowers bloom
As I plant my pocket full of stars into the ground as a gift for you
