Born of fire

Born of fire from the Dragon's breath,
Immortal creature, immune to death.
Eyes of amber, gleaming cold,
Claws of iron and scales of gold.
On the dragons back i fly away,
Soaring the skies for another day.
My heart alive with a pulsing beat,
And passions born of eternal heat.
We to and fro, twisted and twirled,
Through the clouds around the world.
Then diving down to the valley floor,
We glide to home once more.

WAKING LAND

Cloaked in thick mist, wait dawn
Sunshine heats, so land is born
Gradual clearing, visually behold
Defined valley, kiwi farming gold

Where water lies, heavy mist covers
Dispelled by sunshine, protective lover
Keeps mystique, romantically alive
In sleeping darkness, life thrives

Inlet of harbor, river-valley-runs
Waiting dawn, when rays of sun
Engulfed by dense, ghost-like-shroud
Keeps land safe, later stands proud

A secret land, where floating mist
Wispy shimmers, as rivers twist
Waiting sunshine, summers day
When land revealed, in nature's way

Tears From the Sky

When the Rain falls
my thoughts of you come to view
the rain reminds me of my tear drops
like heaven's crying too
I miss the tender words you say
that made my heart ring
and took my breath away
I feel your passion and love
that helps me pull through
I know we'll be together again one day
I can feel it in my heart

The Epic of Sadness

Embedded image from another site

Your love taught me to grieve
and I have been in need, for centuries
a woman to make me grieve
for a woman, to cry upon her arms
like a sparrow
for a woman to gather my pieces
like shards of broken crystal
Your love has taught me, my lady, the worst habits
it has taught me to read my coffee cups
thousands of times a night
to experiment with alchemy,
to visit fortune tellers
It has taught me to leave my house
to comb the sidewalks
and search your face in raindrops
and in car lights
and to peruse your clothes
in the clothes of unknowns
and to search for your image
even.even.
even in the posters of advertisements
your love has taught me
to wander around, for hours
searching for a gypsies hair
that all gypsies women will envy
searching for a face, for a voice
which is all the faces and all the voices.
Your love entered me..my lady
into the cities of sadness
and I before you, never entered
the cities of sadness
I did not know.
that tears are the person
that a person without sadness
is only a shadow of a person.
Your love taught me
to behave like a boy
to draw your face with chalk
upon the wall
upon the sails of fishermen's boats
on the Church bells, on the crucifixes,
your love taught me, how love,
changes the map of time.
Your love taught me, that when I love
the earth stops revolving,
Your love taught me things
that were never accounted for
So I read children's fairytales
I entered the castles of Jennies
and I dreamt that she would marry me
the Sultan's daughter
those eyes.
clearer than the water of a lagoon
those lips.
more desirable than the flower of pomegranates
and I dreamt that I would kidnap her like a knight
and I dreamt that I would give
her necklaces of pearl and coral
Your love taught me, my lady,
what is insanity
it taught me.how life may pass
without the Sultan's daughter arriving
Your love taught me
How to love you in all things
in a bare winter tree,
in dry yellow leaves
in the rain, in a tempest,
in the smallest cafe, we drank in,
in the evenings.our black coffee
Your love taught me.to seek refuge
to seek refuge in hotels without names
in churches without names.
in cafes without names.
Your love taught me..how the night
swells the sadness of strangers
It taught me.how to see Beirut
as a woman.a tyrant of temptation
as a woman, wearing every evening
the most beautiful clothing she possesses
and sprinkling upon her breasts perfume
for the fisherman, and the princes
Your love taught me how to cry without crying
It taught me how sadness sleeps
Like a boy with his feet cut off
in the streets of the Rouche and the Hamra
Your love taught me to grieve
and I have been needing, for centuries
a woman to make me grieve
for a woman, to cry upon her arms
like a sparrow
for a woman to gather my pieces
like shards of broken crystal

Where to go ..

Embedded image from another site

Where to go ..

Every day .. and your face becomes closer ..
Every day, it becomes your face
Part of my life ..
Becomes the most fertile age
And become the most beautiful shapes, form
And things become sweeter and best ..
Has been leaked in the pores of my body ..
As a drop of dew seeping .. ..
Unusually difficult away ..
The unusual for coming harder ..
How much am I .. how much I love you .. so ..
That myself of the same .. wonder ..
Dwell hair, in the gardens of your eyes ..
Without eyes .. no hair writes

Be proud, be proud

Be proud, be proud

Even if you leave me alone,

Forever you will be my angel, my own.

And forever I will see you as it desires the love we have known.

Ambergris, is your breeze,

Sugar, your earth is.

Your hands are velvet,

Yet I do not sing like the other nightingales I have met;

The chains that fetter me tight,

Teach me how to fight

To fight...to fight.

My songs are rose’s daggers,

My silence is childhood’s thunders

And a lily of my heart’s blood.

The earth and the sky you art

And green is your heart!

The low tide of love is high in your heart shore,

Then! How can I not love you more

I see you as it desires the love we have known:

Ambergris, is your breeze,

Sugar, your earth is

And green you heart it is.

I am the child of your love.

In your sweet lap I grow and my stories!

I am neither

I am neither a Moslem nor a Hindu
I am not Christian, Zoroastrian, nor Jew

I am neither of the West nor the East
Not of the ocean, nor an earthly beast
I am neither a natural wonder
Nor from the stars yonder

Neither flesh of dust, nor wind inspire
Nor water in veins, nor made of fire
I am neither an earthly carpet, nor gems terrestrial
Nor am I confined to Creation, nor the Throne Celestial

Not of ancient promises, nor of future prophecy
Not of hellish anguish, nor of paradisic ecstasy
Neither the progeny of Adam, nor Eve
Nor of the world of heavenly make-believe

My place is the no-place
My image is without face
Neither of body nor the soul
I am of the Divine Whole.

I eliminated duality with joyous laughter
Saw the unity of here and the hereafter
Unity is what I sing, unity is what I speak
Unity is what I know, unity is what I seek

Intoxicated from the chalice of Love
I have lost both worlds below and above
Sole destiny that comes to me
Licentious mendicity

In my whole life, even if once
Forgot His name even per chance
For that hour spent, for such moment
I’d give my life, and thus repent

Beloved Master, Shams-e Tabrizi
In this world with Love I’m so drunk
The path of Love isn’t easy
I am shipwrecked and must be sunk.

for my dear one on christmas .

Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart

As I sit, surrounded by Christmas cheer
My mind drifts back to this time last year
The crowd fell away and I saw only you
No more than a glance but my heart somehow knew

Before I met you I'd had my share of sorrow
So I was instantly guarded and full of bravado
You were never fooled and you saw the real me
And I realised I can only be the best I can be

We shared our first laugh, our first kiss, our first smile
And I tried to not love you, at least for a while
We became friends and lovers, I bared my soul
It was only with you that I began to feel whole

When you declared your love you broke down my defences
Happiness and hope overwhelmed my senses
Ever since then our love has continued to grow
And with you by my side I will always know

That you will laugh at my tantrums, you will kiss my tears
You will hold my hand to allay any fears
Each night we lie in bed entwined
Our dreams, our hopes, our souls are aligned

And as we sit in the light of our Christmas tree,
I need to convey how much you mean to me
Let us freeze this moment and take time to treasure
A year full of laughter, love and pleasure

Thank you for all of the love you've bestowed
And although the rest of our story’s untold
I would trade a lifetime without you for our last year together
You have changed my life, infinitely, for the better

rang de

raat beet gayi ,baat beet gayi
tuj se mulakat kiye, janam beet gayi

manzil bahut door hai,aur samay bahut kam
Intzaar karte karte thak gaye hum
mujhe rang de mujhe rang de

raato me teri yaad aati hai
pattro me teri tasweer dikti hai
savaalo se dil bhar jati hai
kayaalo me kahi kho jate hai
mujhe rang de mujhe rang de

tere rang se hum kelege holi
saj gaye gi meri rangoli
ab jeena mushkil hai tere rang ke bina
muje rang de ab rang de

dragons

Flames and fiery breath
Within
Hot breathing nostrals
The kiss of hot fiery breath

Its talons
Held with clench breath
Poised to tear flesh from flesh
Strikes the heart with its talons

Its strikes with venom monsters of the nite beast of mortal
Earth
Dragons of the night
Scales of justice to protect
Its mortal soul

Fighting monsters and humans alike
Dismembers its victims soul
These dragons and monsters of the nite
