November’s Rain

In the stillness of my decay
What is left of yesterday
Things that won’t fade away
The last of those sunny days
Turning slowly into grey

In the night of my loneliness
Moonlight shares a sweet caress
Once was life is emptiness
The nest in the meadow cress
Empty now and in distress

In the gloom of a dreary day
In the drench of soaking spray
Puddles my thoughts in clay
The lake that surrounds the quay
Solemn I am its tranquil bay

In the silence of the past
A question I could have asked
A memory that also passed
But one I still holdfast
One that will always last

In the stillness of my decay
What is left of yesterday
Things that won’t fade away
The last of those sunny days
Turning slowly into grey

Astronomy

As the moon Breaks through the cloudy skys,
bringing ghostly shapes around our eyes,
as the warmth of this summer nights breeze
rustles gently through the trees.

Through scattered clouds the heavens shimmer
as numerous diamonds begin to glimmer.
A garment of lace stretched from shore to shore,
a map of the heaven that we begin to explore.

A telescope sat upon the deck,
scans the heavens charting every speck.
Constalations seen passed Orions belt
looking to where only gods have dwelt.

Then gazing upon Saturns rings,
oh what wonders this contraption brings.
As with the lens that we gaze through,
an arrangement of mirrors give us a perfect view.

And as the sun begins to rise,
we lose the darkness before our eye.
And wait again for another day,
to once more see this grand display

the breakup

As each day passes, it feels less and less like a fairy tale and more and more like cinderella woke up and realized it was a dream. She took a wrong turn in her glass slippers and lost her way. You were right. Something changed. I repainted our mural with cheap paint. I never used primer. It was not set right. I stepped out of us and I could not step back in. My fire for you has turned to smoldering embers. You said if I chose to leave again, you wouldn't stop me. Please don't. I have been unfaithful despite all my words in their entirety, living now to no longer bring you dishonor. I havent the fire I used to have. And now despite your love I must release you. I ask you to forgive me. Please.

Crossroads

An arrow points in directions
unknown
Perhaps I'm following the seeds
I've sown
The high road or the low road is
a mysterious path ..who can tell
Tis a choice my friend between
heaven or hell..

Movement

Vibrations pulse with a quivering cargo
Creating a rhombic magical flow
Some days fast others slow
Tick tock to and fro
Rise up and go

Shadows of white light luminous glow
Dancing twangs of a staccato banjo
Precision pounding of the bongo
Sync with magenta Bordeaux
And a luscious gateau

Strength in the multitudes of resonating macro
Formed in the firm stable base of a dado
On shoulders of giants from long ago
Life’s story as an evolved bio
As above, then below

Movements ending the linear time will show
Coalesced synchronicity in blue indigo
Loving embraces of a trusted beau
Gone the past we used to know
Tick tock, we move, we go

Changing Course

I'm done writing about
All the scammers and players
That don't carry any clout

Because we all know
They'll rob us of our glow
Our peace, love and sanity
With all their vanity
Layer by layers

There’s so much more to me
Than words of disdain
Like the courage to be free
All the people I love
And walks in the rain
Of these I’ll speak of

I’ll write about stars and clouds
I'll shout out loud about
Mountains, snow and rainbows
Soft blankets of mist
And magical secret windows

Being caught in a storm and butterflies
Not the lows anymore, rather all the highs

Because we all know that scammers and players
Will never know the depths of love and compassion
They are all just unspeakable hate purveyors

Poets feel, we’re real and we can communicate with passion
That is why I am moving on, changing course and taking this action

My poison pen is retired
I refuse to be mired
Get myself all wired
I'm done, and I'm tired

I mean it, so, in any event this is sent
To let you know I’ve had my say, said my peace
I have to admit it was such a great release!

About this poem:
I needed to write about not writing about the players...and I feel better now. My Dad had that Irish wit...and used to tell me "consider the source"....enough said! Peace everyone!!

I Wish I Were A Robot

I wish I were a robot
With full metal parts
Built with sensible forethought
Even including loving hearts

Covered in modern, stylish clothes
Hiding an inquisitive que vive form
From my head down to my toes
Creating the perfect storm

The superpowers are awesome
With only one tiny little concern
I couldn’t take any direct sun
But, that’s the only downturn

I’d be almost perfect
Precision all the way
With a run away intellect
And foul villains to slay

At work I would be unstoppable
Much to everyone’s chagrin
All my parts would be swappable
Except my heart, buried deep within

Yes, if only I were a robot
Yet, I am thinking the unthinkable
The only better idea I got
Is to be completely invisible!

Lockless and the Delilah maidens

Seventy maidens from CS castle
broke through enemy lines
They slew the guards of the sleeping
monarch..
They took the kings spoils with all
his golden treasures
They took Philistine spears and
shields
They took the latest Pyramid high heels
which helped women walk like an Egyptipn
They stole the queens pink panties
Then they entered the tent of the sleeping
monarch and clipped and snipped until
he was clipless and snipless
For they were merely following the ancient
saying, 'For she who weilds a heavy clipper,
shall emerge as royal Queen of the snipper.'
So the CS maidens bound him hand and foot
They followed to the letter the propheticbook
They paraded him through the city making
mockery and sport
They even stripped him of his boxer shorts
The lockless one did bow and kneel as half
naked maidens shouted,'How does that feel?
They tied him between pillars of stone
O, those naughty maidens did make him moan
So they teased and tickled for a month and
a day
Til the lockless monarch said,'O, behave!

Genesis

"Genesis"

Life is born amongst us here, unceasing and always relevant...
we see it with every breath...the crest of the Sunflower so bright,
the unstable footing of the newly born fawn,
the erratic patterns of the Dragonfly.

Ah yes! Even death is but a moment in time, subsumed by the life it replaces...
a doorway perhaps ~ a fortuitous return to what was, only much more....
and even to return to this sacred place...this grove of wonder and splendor.
Through three valleys and seven gates...I remember it all , across glade and spring...
from just below the timberbreak...I see her now.

I've been here before.... to be sure!
Between the hedgerow, she pauses, smiling, welcoming me back once again.
Looking into the heavens, she points me to their path....Luna, Orion and Sirius...
Majestic movements, witness the silent hum of the oribits above!
The music of spheres ring true tonight my friend ~
Under the mosaic of the heavens ... we dance...
the perpetual dance of the the evening sky reflected in her eyes...
...we dance...
