More than one wife. Are you insane?
With each woman comes PMT, a host of expenses and a mother-in-law.
There is also the practicality of keeping that many women serviced, which would become more difficult as the man grew older.
Imagine four women who all had PMT on the same day, whose mothers all came to visit on the same day and who each wanted her own Carrie Bradshaw style shoe collection, wardobe and weekly visits to the day spa.
Then the day will come that they will side into menopause at roughly the same time. That will be when another level of Hell will begin.

Another thought that I believe is worthy of mention is: why should it be the business of the state to 'allow' anyone any particular number of spouses?
That is, or should be, a matter of personal choice . . . of personal liberty.
It is a matter between the man/men/woman/women involved in an intimate relationship. It is not the business of government.
It is interesting to see how far so many people have allowed themselves to become psychologically conditioned to simply accept state tyrany, even when it extends to their intimate relationships.
People, you are being herded like cattle and conditioned like Pavlov's dogs. Wake up, or you will deserve every bit of the misery and servitude that awaits you.
That is, or should be, a matter of personal choice . . . of personal liberty.
