tarotman: Women don't need to drive, they don't need a sat nav to get from the Kitchen to the Bedroom
I think I have reached a point in my life that it would be so much easier for me if that was the case. But even if it was I would most likely still stop somewhere along the way and forget where I was going
As a former race car driver and driving instructor (I taught drivers how to drive racecars not teenagers how to drive) I feel qualified to comment on this topic from the viewpoint of extreme driving skill. I have been on the track with women race drivers and they mirror women drivers in general from slower than a traffic cone to OMG I don't want to compete against her. I have also observed women truck drivers in the years I spent as a truck driver, same thing! Women drivers tend to be much less aggressive behind the wheel than men. They don't have anything to prove (like their manhood). They do however make full use of the throttle when leaving a stoplight and they tend to brake late. It seems as though they have only 2 speeds go and stop. The reason for this may be due to their generally lower body mass ie they are less affected by acceleration and deceleration. That's just my theory.

Maybe so for the US,but over here we breed em tough, lots of girl racers in souped up cars, quite a few at stockcars and local race / dirt tracks. Quite a few swing for the sidecar bikes, but only one driver that I know of.
GalwayGuy35: Women would be more careful drivers but they are generally terrible at reversing into a parking space.
Unless you live where I live!! My son was struck mute (A very rare occurance) when he saw my parking skills on his last visit. After he recovered his voice he decided that it probably was due to the fact that either you learn to park pretty much bumper to bumper ... OR you don't park!! (Due to lack of spaces)
