Personally I dont like shirtless pics of guys, smacks of a guy who is full of himself to me and I am immediately turned off.

Well,each to their own really. It probably wouldn't have bothered me as much back in my early day's. But surprisingly where I live,I've noticed a lot of men in the older age bracket on date sites shirtless,the climate being an excuse.
Preferably a guy with a shirt on for the profile picture,shows he presents himself well,bit like a job interview. However, if in the other profile pictures he isn't wearing a shirt because he is swimming ect,that is fine.
It's should be about presentation. I guess what your saying as far as playing the game,is how to react? just be assertive,set good standards as to what your looking for and don't settle for less.

eh - don't notice usually - generally the bare chested bathroom pic types are teenagers that I am too old for and I usually respond by asking them if their parents know their on here and shouldn't they be doing their homework????
