I don't think all knowledge is necessary, but I DO believe all knowledge can be surprisingly useful at one point in life or another, since ALL knowledge broadens one's perspective of everything in life. As the saying goes, "Knowledge is power." 
The more knowledge one has, the more one can make better decisions & gain a better perspective on the world around them.
Ignorance is NOT bliss. It is sheer stupidity. I try to learn something new every day.

Knowledge sure is not always useful and necessary but in many cases it helps. I have noticed that curious people are never bored in life, they always find something to learn or to be interested in, and that is great, especially when they go through bad moments.
