I don't think all knowledge is necessary, but I DO believe all knowledge can be surprisingly useful at one point in life or another, since ALL knowledge broadens one's perspective of everything in life. As the saying goes, "Knowledge is power." The more knowledge one has, the more one can make better decisions & gain a better perspective on the world around them. Ignorance is NOT bliss. It is sheer stupidity. I try to learn something new every day.

Nah, I'd just leave you on the cheap section at the supermarket with one of those yellow 'reduced' stickers stuck to your butt.
I hear some Greek politician forming a new world wide "Bilderberg Group" called the "" World Stupid Politicians Group" and want George W. Bush as their president. Heard anything somewhere, about this group?????.

N0, but I do know he is traveling to Greece to make a short visit and he is bearing gifts for all, there.
Knowledge sure is not always useful and necessary but in many cases it helps. I have noticed that curious people are never bored in life, they always find something to learn or to be interested in, and that is great, especially when they go through bad moments.
As you go through life, and you travel around and the more involved you become with other people and their projects, hopes and dreams, you suddenly find yourself recalling this or that piece of once 'useless' trivia you heard 40 years ago and finding an application for it today.

Always remove the wrench from the chuck before turning on the lathe

Do not assume a box is empty just because someone said it was.
