ooby_dooby: This just happened to my son Danny who's living in Louisville KY. He was riding his bike and a bunch of black kids around 15 were there and one of them said "gimme five" so Danny put out his hand and the kid grabbed it and swung at him. He got hit in the side of his head and fell down with the bike but didn't get knocked out. All the kids took off. Danny didn't want to leave his bike and go after them for fear of it getting ripped off. If he had cought up to the kid that hit him I fear what he might have done to the kid because Danny is the wrong person you ever want to piss off.

Hey, I hope your son Danny is alright after that incident! I wonder if age, non-handicaps and size, often only dissuades these thugs from victimizing others.

Being of large frame, I've only experienced some harsh bumps by would-be pickpockets (especially around the Vatican gypsy youth). I wonder, as I get older, if this will change and I might be victimized by these type thugs. Hope not, I can't, presently, can't CCW in a number of places I frequent now. moping

Yeah he's fine. Danny is 32, 6' tall he is bone skin & muscle and he's got a temper. If he ever got a hold of that kid they would have taken him away in an ambulance and Danny in a police car.

Ziusudra: What's wrong with the parents raising these dysfunctional kids?!!
Kids today are just ruthless punks being raised by single parents
who were dysfunctional kids at one time.

it's possible that the fruit does not fall far from the tree - however, more than often good hardworking parents have not idea that these children get into mobs and we know how mobs behave....

and on that note does anyone have a flashmob that they can post?

Ccincy: It's all in their upbringing.

sometimes - although not all times -

After working in criminal court in Miami for 14 years, I have often seen good parents and the now "juveniles" have no empathy and a callus disregard for human life.

In one case there were middle class boys in one of three home invasion robberies, shot through a closed bathroom door where the mother and 3 year old baby were hiding - of course, you understand if she hadn't put the baby in the bathtub ....

so the parents (bank vice presidents and lawyers and doctors) ask for bail for the group of them - (the boys were all in the same high school and received high marks and belonged to the track team) -

In my opinion - there is no real link between parental style and child's goodness

Apathy, broken homes, namby-pamby parents/police/schools, the hypermasculine backlash to an emasculated culture, lack of a cleansing war, general ruin, hopeless future... There are so many things that have lead us to this, when I was at school they called it happy slapping.

I've known some kids where they came from the best of homes and turn right around and do just the very opposite of how they were raised.

Some of the scholarly types may disagree and also believe that the nature of temperament is a real contributor to the situation, as noted in this linked document 'CHILD TEMPERAMENT AND PARENTING' by Ann Sanson, University of Melbourne and Mary K. Rothbart, University of Oregon.

please select/copy and paste the following url if you want to read their document on this issue.......

Ha ha...... Ha.. I love stories like these.

Knockout Game Turns Deadly: 60 Year Old Woman Shoots and Kills 2 Teens After Being Punched.

Police are still trying to piece together the events of Monday night after a woman was attacked and then fired shots into the crowd of teens that assulted her.

Beulah Montgomery, who just turned 60 yesterday, says she was walking home after purchasing lottery tickets when she says a group of teens, 7 of them, approached her. Montgomery initally thought they were going to attempt to steal her purse but says she was instead hit by one of the individuals as a second attempted to hit her. That's when she grabbed her gun.

"All I could feel was pain and I said to myself I had made it to 60 and I wanted to atleast see 61," she recalled. "Then I started praying and I asked the Lord to guide my hands" Montgomery says she then reached into her purse and and shot in the direction of the teens and they started to flee. However two of them didn't make without being hit.

... I've been following this in the media for a few weeks now and there definitely seems to be a racial twist to the game. In some areas the 'teens' are calling the game Polar Bear Hunting (i.e. bashing whites), it appears to be primarily black youths attacking whites, often old and defenceless people. I wonder why the popular press and the usual bleeding hearts are keeping such a low profile on this issue? ... devil
