That's a very valid point actually. But it is not just about finding a partner. We have all done this already. It is about finding the "right" partner. This is the hard part. lol I mean the odds are massively against us all finding the "right" partner. Finding a wrong un is so much easier. lol

Yes. And every man is, too. And I'd say men may lie more often to make themselves look good through boasting and enthralling anecdotes that may or may not be true, whereas women lie more often to shirk consequences, keep the peace or to obtain attention - e.g. feigning minor illness.

If someone can't get any off the above, a little thinking about the why mightn't go amiss.
