Yeah, the games have been pretty good so far, plenty of goals. I didn't stay up to see the Japan v Ivory Coast match though. It didn't start until 2am our time

Molly
I have not watched an entire match either, due to the time differences... but my son has it going all the time... so I just watch the goals... as he rewinds for me.. and we discuss it...
Being I tend to follow soccer and not footy... I love watching bits and pieces...

I watch soccer all the time, so I would know some members of most games.
ooooh the world cup ooooh of kickball oh I forgot its soccer. like they had when they interviewed someone down in brazil. the ridiculousness of the sport. the ppl that need medical treatment are more likely to die because soccer comes first. its a waste of airtime the ppl in brazil should take care of their citizens first and soccer can wait

Talk about downing a world class event..
You know... we had this same type of talk when the Olympics were on.. and worrying about what we cannot fix... is taking it away from the even that it is...
I think events that include many nations around the world is a good thing...
its a happy thing too ( ok.. for some) and gives life to our planet... not just soccer.. but world events..
and yes, there are poor and starving, but would they really have been better off without the world cup..??
I mean... the money that was directed in this case to stadiums etc to host the games... would that money have been ear marked for the poor??

Very true, and there are many arguments about the numbers of jobs and money spent in the host countries.
