SoonerGal: What is the deal here that everyone thinks someone is out for something?? Maybe, just maybe there is genuine people out there looking for someone. This is why I left the first time, thought I'd give it another whirl but find the same disbeliefs floating around
Ignore the scammer-magnets
I believe most of those who complain about so many scammers, attract them for some reason.
I am rarely bothered by scammers, and I have had no problems connecting here.

A lot of peeps been hurt from a previous relationship , sometimes it's the distance between us and the person we're chatting to despite the fact that we might have 'Any distance' as our profile criteria . Ideally and speaking in terms of personal preference I'd like to meet somebody in the good ol' fashioned way' like in on a night out in a pub/club or in a queue somewhere . I can honestly say though that there are some fine people that I've chatted to here .

I totally understand where you are coming from, but then again who says your "ideal" mate or "soul" mate isn't half way around the world? we are a privileged generation to be able to connect with those thousands of miles away. But like you, I think if I can't find it in my own back yard I'll probably never find it...so my time here is pointless, other than the good people who come here everyday with their charm and warming personalities that I've come to love

you're right CC, but times have changed...I've changed, I don't do the bar scene so that leaves me pretty alone so to speak, here in Oklahoma your only options are bars-casino's, I really don't want to find someone in either of those places...but that's just me

If you're having fun here that's fine, sometimes something nice happens along the way, but if you're really mostly here looking to meet someone this is a colossal misuse of your time and energy. You'll be far better served spending your time and energy someplace with tons of local people.
