I don't want to connect here with locals.
For me it was giving another way of meeting a chance, but 95% of locals are just looking for a leg over anything.
I do like going out and meeting people, I met all my exes through friends on social occasions and that's for me the only way I would want to meet someone. I like to post in the forums and blogs on CS, but have limited communication to existing contacts.

I know if you view something as hard, it is hard. If you feel positive, It usually attracts positive .

It pays not to have pre-determined requirements or expectations, to be frank.
Its a free-for-all at the end of the day, but then it is with all other similar sites and with all other alternative methods of inter-action.
The best way is to have no particular achievements in mind and just see what happens, if it does.
If it doesn't, in the meantime, you have probably made some great friends or at very least inter-acted in the sense of a few good debates, learned a few things, and had some great laughs in the process.
There have been successes on this site, and some heartaches.....
You take a chance but if you don't stick around, you'll never know.....

i still think that the right person is out there..how u meet this person doesnt really matter. Just this site as a tool to find him/her quicker
