It's not that I can't sleep , it's mostly lack of discipline that I've gotten out of the habit of going to sleep at a reasonable hour . My recent average would be less than 8 hrs The World’s Unofficial Oldest Woman Enjoys Eating Chocolate And Sleeping for up to three days at a time.
I used to sleep a lot. Now it's mostly seven to eight hours a night. I can function but never really feel well on much less than seven hours.
My natural habit is to go to bed at about 4AM and get up at the crack of noon.

If you can't sleep, you get proficient at other nocturnal activities...
