I listen to just about anything, but if given a choice... R&B all the way! And I love old time blues & stuff by Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, etc.
But I do love my Barry White, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Manhattans, etc.

Also, while doing alot of travelling last month, I found some alternative Christian rock where there was a void in the radio stratosphere...it was pretty good!
jpunk: I really can't see anyone on here that would make you think to include an option called "nose bleed noise rock" !!!!
Here, with all the students from the University around there are a ton of different kinds of music that they come up with. One style is a kind of "make a track of traffic sounds mixed w/ screamming, or stuff breaking, or what ever."
It is basicly noise laid on a track and played as if it music. It makes one's nose bleed. Hence the option: Nose bleed noise rock.
Sorry to some of you. Ran out of room for Country (which I don't listen to much - my bad) and Alternitive. Though if you look up some groups that are seen as altern. they can also be seen as Rock, Metal, Or even Heavey Metal. Go figure.
I guess my taste is eclectic. I like the Dave Matthews Band to classical, disco, Motown, Michael Buble, Diane Krall, Nora Jones, Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Eric Clapton, The Who, Josh Groban, etc., etc.
I'm such an eclectic mix that there isn't just one...I ooze rhythm from every pore, period!
Rock, soft rock, hard rock, metal, pop, 60's, 70's, 80's, classical, Indie, jazz, reggae...digeridoo...if it's got a beat, or vibrates in my core, I love it. I even like some hip hop and rap...if it's got a good dance beat.

Ah...that was my husband's taste...he loved the stuff. We met somewhere around Heart and Meat Loaf, though...

A good beat is always amazing to find, but when the lyrics are awsome too . . . that is great. I like some Hip Hop and R&B simply because of their lyrics.

not if you are going by the looks of someone unless youve read their posts to know what makes a person tick. any indication, lou reed's metal machine music" is among my favorite albums, the stooges and mc5, blue cheer, atomic rooster are among my favorite bands
I like Rammstein, Mudvayne, Keysha Cole, Alabina, Pitbull, Silk, Scorpions, Ari Gold, Orishas, geez... I'm all over the musical map, except C&W, Bluegrass, Gospel - those I cannot listen to. ... so personality wise, that makes me what? a flaming schizophrenic?
also, the sir douglas quintet, merrell fankhauser, ian hunter, are among my favotites , so im all over the map musically, i could take up too much of mine and your time with a list of favorites or genres or subgenres of music that i like. i do however believe the essential years of the classic era of rock are 1966-76. and i do love the 50's as well as blues, surf, rockabilly, bluegrass, soul, world music, punk, garage, polka, psych, and the list goes on, not sure what it says about my personality. i do love music though.

Music equals personality, what are you?(Vote Below)
Or at least, what type best describes your personality?
I am a mix of Indie, Rock, Classical, and maybe some Hip Hop. But up front, I'd say I am a Rocker Chick.
