I'll bring an Organic Salad, looks like we just might have a good Thanksgiving Dinner in the making. The salad is awesome, my Daughter just taught me to it recently.

I'll come, but I'm a vegetarian and I don't eat anything that tastes like or resembles meat. I don't understand vegetarians who like something to be meat flavored.
I'll bring my bean and rice dish. Mixed beans Basmatti Rice Himalayan Red Rice Jasmine Rice Wild Rice Chat Masala (Indian spice mix - mostly dried fruit)

It is awesome, I also add Quinoa to it. I pretty much eat it every day with mixed vegetables. I wish I could go vegan but I can't give up my dairy and honey. As you know, being vegan, it is essential to get our protein in. I get mine from beans, nuts, seeds and grains. I also drink coconut milk and almond milk. For breakfast I make up a mix of grains that I add mixed dried fruit to it and cook for 30 minutes. The grains are: Amaranth, Kaniwa, Millet, Teff, Hemp Seeds, Chia Seeds, Barley and Flax Seeds. After it's cooked I add a little Agave Nectar, cinnamon and mixed nuts. It is very yummy.
How do you get your protein in? I'm always looking for new ideas.

Being of Mediterranean background , my mother often cooked tasty dishes using different beans ( butter beans , black eyed peas etc.) not to mention chick pea & lentils.. You can find some interesting recipes online & Indian cuisine has many vegan recipes if you like spicy food.

yes it is not easy being a vegan, I was a vegetarian before becoming a vegan. veganism has been very good for my health though. I eat a lot of beans, chickpeas, lentils, lots of greens - raw brocoli, raw spinach, raw cucumber, etc. tofu, tempeh. I snack on nuts. I used to eat cheese too when I lived in France. I don't miss it now that I am a vegan. quinoa is a high source of protein. I eat it too. tempeh, tofu, chickpeas, brocoli, all greens are good sources of protein
