Alot of people in America have a hatred or dislike aginst felons and them voting in any Public state or Goverment elections. Many say they lost citizenship when they got felony , others say they are still American and should be allowed. What do you think? Should they or shouldn't they?

Most felonies are drug related and it is usually a consensual crime. I think the senator from Alaska they voted out the other day was a convicted felon.

Many politicians are far worse than most of our felons, I think (particularly the vast legions in US jails because of victimless drug laws).
What's the relevance of committing most crimes to voting (unless the crime involved voting fraud, possibly)? You can be a felon for writing a bad check. You shouldn't be allowed to vote because of that. Pure idiocy.

I dont see why not.Probley half who vote would be felons if they got caught, and half the Goverment is crooks.JMO
Well I think that felons should be allowed to vote, if they can pass some kind of intelligence test, and understand what politics are supposed to be about(not what they are about)
But I also think that All American's should have to take those tests, not just felons...
I'm afraid they don't want felons to vote or run for any offices, because they don't want any professional competition
(AT beings crooks that is..).....for the polish people out there...

The public's altitudes towards convicted felons only belies their total and utter hypocracy as they vote for politicians that are only free because they haven't yet been arrested and convicted of any number of crimes, so I fail to understand why both the public at large and confined, convicted felons should not vote together for unconvicted crooks... A 'crook' is a crook, is a crook, convicted or not...

It's not anything new because I've said it before. I think voters should be required to have a basic knowledge of how government works. I'd say too many people are voting.

Now there is a huge potential 'can of worms'; how would those numbers of voters be reduced? What measures could be...have to be taken to basically disenfranchise---disqualify voters to reduce the numbers allowed to vote...

Some testing was done here in the states. People were asked if Sarah Palin was a good choice for Obama's vp selection. An astounding number said yes.

People also were asked, "Who said they can see Russia from their backyard?" They didn't get that right either????

That's easy, ask them 100 questions, and if they give liberal anwsers.... They are dis- qualified
