Yes you should. Its always nice to know someone liked the look of you so I always say thanks. I also let them know why something like: "thank you very much but you are to far away for me" or if they are to young. I also wish them luck in their search. Its only good manners. I think it proves they are not the decent honest lovely men they say when they are so bad mannered not to send a nice polite note.

Whisperss: Those guys sending nice messages get nice replies. I'm not, however, wasting all my day sending replies to guys that put no effort into meeting me other then making 2 or 3 clicks on their computer to send a pretend rose. They probably have not even read my profile.

Go ahead... call me stuck up, or mean or whatever else you want... but my answer is NO.
The first thing I do is check my who´s viewed me... and if they don´t show up there then I know they haven´t bothered to look at my profile, so no... I´m not going to answer them.
If they are completely inappropriate and didn´t put any thought into what they wrote, then no, I´m not going to answer them.
I have had far to many occasions that I sent a nice email back explaining why we weren´t a suitable match only to receive nasty, ill tempered messages in return. Chances are most of the flowers have been sent to 20 other women as well and they aren´t even aware if you have responded or not.
Someone who has looked at my profile and sends a nice thought out message... I will respond to.

He has a son.
I had a couple of exchanges with him and he seemed perfectly lovely.
And then he disappeared. So i thought no more about it until now.
That was back in September.

I think you should send some kind of reply at least once. The ones that sound like scammers I'm not as nice to and have even reported some.
About the "who's viewed me"..........
don't forget, there's an option to that. You can choose if you want people to know if you've looked at their profile or not. Just because it doesn't show up, doesn't mean they didn't really look at it.
Just for the record, my reply would probably be nicer if the person did actually show up in the "who's viewed me" vs. not.

80% of the time I reply. But there is that 20% that is from a far away country and can't speak English or perverts that say something very naughty! Those I just block, but even if they don't look or sound interesting or may be too old, if they take the time to send me a gift and have something sweet to add, I always send a ty back and say they are sweet but if its just a hey babe or, whatchu wearin??
