Wil, this is your 4th thread you started about yourself and the "woe is me type of headings"in the past few days.
Truthfully, I really think you need to find some self esteem before you are ready to find a girlfriend.
I am not trying to be harsh, just trying to help. You are so down on yourself with your threads, posts, and profile that no young lady is going to want to be with you at the present time.
Continue with your therapy, but may I also suggest you seek a counselor at the VA hospital for help in your mental state of mind.
Sometimes, mental anguish can hurt more than physical pain....

at his age a person relates to the world differently than anyone in their mid-twenties and up.
It's not that difficult to either say a kind word or to just ignore the post.

i read your blog the other day, you have just started walking again and that's great !! It takes courage to start again but you have already proved you CAN do it, that takes guts. Hang on in there and focus on the positives, your life will not be the same as it was so build your future on what you have, there are support groups out there that can help. Good luck

Will okay I do not mean to be rough, but i wasa hrd headed diabetic, that had a massive stroke, and I could not even talk, I could see and hear, could not walk or talk.

However, I am very surprised at all the negativity from so many people towards him. There's so many threads about people being liars, deceitful, say stuff that they aren't. Well here we have a man who is laying everything on the table. BRAVO!

People who are getting down saying comments are too harsh and putting Wil down are simply expressing their opinions, which they are entitled to. But in the same vein, we all have our own styles, methods, etc., to help or encourage others. Sometimes tough love as it's called works better than nursing someone. Others methods are exactly that, theirs. While a different point of view or an approach to the situation is looked down upon. Everyone here wants the same thing, to be happy, give advice, share experiences, etc., so don't get down on others for their opinion. It is what it is, FREE advice, take it or leave it. Some respond with love and tenderness, others need to be pushed, while still others need to be shoved. Wil obviously is a man in the service (thank you Wil)but let him be a man and accept what people say, whether you agree or not. It is up to him to weed through the posts and take what he wants and throw the rest out. It's not negative to tell someone the truth...that they need to work on their own self esteem and love themself before they can love another. Seeking a relationship at this time is not going to help because that love must come from within first. Otherwise, it's not a healthy relationship, and will only lead to future self-worth issues.
How many of us who are older have been there, done that? Had a relationship break up and our whole world fall apart because most of our self-esteem was in that relationship?
I just had a heartbreak, but it didn't crush me because I've learned that I am me, and I love me enough not to let it do that any more. I don't need someone else to love me to feel good about myself. Did it hurt? Yes. Will I spend a long time mourning it? No. (Am I still now? Yes...it's very recent.) But...it didn't make me feel worthless or unlovable.
Wil, if you get into a relationship right now, and it doesn't work out, you're going to end up feeling worse than you do now. I know it's horrible to feel lonely and alone. We all know that feeling. But hang out here with us, have fun, and do some work on learning to love yourself again before you seek a girlfriend. You're young, and if you get through some of these issues, you'll still have a lot to offer a woman some day. But your feeling of being lovable and worthy of love can't come from someone else feeling that way about you. You have to feel that way about you.

The truth can be said in a much nicer manner than what was said here in so many posts, IMO.
The title of this Poll is "Am I attractive"? I did not read anywhere in his post that he was looking for a relationship. As I said in my earlier post, I hadn't seen any other posts from Wil; where he may have indicated he was looking for a girlfriend. My response was based solely on this poll and the responses I was seeing here, not anywhere else.
We are all a work in progress until we draw out last breath.
No harm was intended, just gave my opinion, like everyone else gave theirs.
