Mankind has always had an interest in, and fondness for animals, and have domesticated many over the centuries. The companionship that they offer us is usually unconditional (except sometimes when you don't feed them in a timely manner, lol!), and much appreciated.
Growing up over the years, my family homed dogs, cats, birds and fishes, though not all at the same time. ;-) When I was a toddler, my father owned Dalmatians. After my mother left him and moved to a different town, we homed cats and fishes. We moved around a bit, and at most of those locations we homed at least one dog. The previous dog at my current home (many years ago) was a white pitbull named Snow.
I recently adopted Sweetie Pie; I'm decidedly a dog person. What about you?
Funnybunnybaby: at home in ireland i have 3 cats and one dog jack
I couldn't imagine not having any pets around. Do yours like to sleep with you when you see them? I can't sleep unless the bed is full of cats and dogs

Spot and Greybeard and Lonnie are fixtures every night when I go to bed. The dogs spilt their time between my room and the living room as do Stripey and Marci beats to the march of her own drum and prefers to be alone.

So where would that leave the lady that you may be dating at the time Track?

There was a point in my life years ago I wasn't doing so well. The only thing that kept me going was my cats and dogs. Animals don't judge, they love unconditionally.
I content myself with two granddogs, a neighbour's scabby cat who has decided that I'm his property and any creaure I can get near enough to make friends with.
I met a pair of 5 month old miniature Dachshunds the other day who squeaked like guinea pigs. I was suspicious.

They are like emotional barometers. However they do it, they always know.

It's good that they were so helpful to you, especially during that crucial time. Sweetie keeps me going, even when I don't want to do anything else but mope;-)
Funnybunnybaby: Can't imagine life without animals Track
I couldn't imagine not having any animals. Sure the place wouldn't look like a train wreck but it would be soul less. They bring life to the house, If for some reason all my animals were suddenly took away, I really have no idea how I would cope. I don't have any children and at this point in my life, I don't plan on having any so the animals are the closest thing I'll ever have to having kids. I know its not quite the same but its kinda the same when you are a animal person.
