In my opinion, a man who is comfortable enough with himself and with his partner or friends to cry when needed is an extremely strong and well-balanced person.
Crying is a very positive action; it is a way of shedding grief and allowing yourself to acknowledge pain, whether mental or physical.

i will admit it seems harder for most men to cry but i think its weird that people think men who get choked up quite easily are any less of a man (wether its sad crying or happy crying) at the end of the day its just another way of showing your emotions , whats the difference between being sad and crying or being happy and laughing?
when i was in the armed forces i was never ashamed to cry or embarresed and no one else seemed to be so i think on the whole most men are fine with shedding tears. i have to say with me i have never cryed because i have felt happy, but then everyone expresses there selfs differnetly and i tend not to get choked up over little things

All men cry its just what it takes them to cry. I know guys who have cried in pain and would never think less than them. Granted that was in the military and overseas where given what happened to them I would to and I would be surprised if any guy wouldn't.
Emotionally it all depends but I think if you look down on a guy for crying about a legitamite issue you're insecure. I'm personally not the type to cry but if you show emotion that way then good for you for being human.

Men try to be strong for us to comfort us. I think it hurts more to see a man cry than to see a women cry, because we cry at the drop of a hat. (at least I do)
