I've heard economic conspiracy theories forever,even in good times.Many of them stem from the reality that money has been unsound since FDR.We should next expect galloping inflation.Otherwise it will almost have to be widespread bankruptcy.The worst part is that noone really seems to know with any reliability,for then we would all know.

Of course the economic crisis is manufactored... How else do you think the rich are going to get richer and the poor poorer... I'm on the government doe though so I'm protected

The only thing that is being manufactured here is an economic crisis, unemployment at 10% and that is only counting the ones that get benifits...It is real and going to get worse when the bills come due....I guess GM never happened it was just a dream. That's ok Obama has his 20 Czars in place to handle things. The economic recession is because of POOR Leadership in the goverment that is where the power and money are to futher their agenda...The goverment pushes the blame to the private sector and now wants to run the show through the czars. I hope they can do better that they have with the Department of Energy at 23 billion a year... I wonder how Nancy P, likes her new plane...

It's the end user that ultimately has the control of a recessionay stance, that being us the people. When we spend we can stabitize, when we lengthen our pockets recessionay measures take over. It's definitely Real for some of us !
My opinion, unregulated corporate greed made all the right people rich or they benefited from it and turned their heads the other way.
Nobody likes government regulation ........but it's time !!

The government will never solve our problems. We the people need to solve it we need to start buying local supporting our anerican small business The rich Have bought our current government and will control any law that is put into place to help the people Just look at the banking mess all the laws are passed to protect the bankers (IE) the new bankruptcy laws that are all set toward the Banks to get money from people .

The worst economy since the Great Depression, and what does Obama do? He commits the one-two punch that is the equivalent of ECONOMIC SUICIDE: massive spending AND taxing the biggest job-producing sectors of the economy (GROWING small businesses, big biz).
If people can simply put down their partisan hats and look at things objectively, it's very clear that Obama has no clue on the fiscal/economic front (and I say this as not being a big fan of Bush's fiscal platform). Massive spending has NEVER WORKED--only hurt--and now their ineptitude is showing again with proposing a SECOND "stimulus" after the first one failed miserably, thus far. SUPPLY SIDE ECONOMICS is the tried and true way to spur on growth.

Seems to me that everyone owes some guy, some bank, some credit Co, some country, some world bank. Who's getting all this (all of a sudden) lost cash? The money was either real - or was never real (nothing but promisory notes). If this is the case - where did all the 'real' money go?

Lets put it this way, for a number of economists it was a question of time that the American real estate and its funding system did collapse.
On the other side, nobody was able to predict how the economic situation looks after the bubble busted.
And now - all over the world - the central banks start to blow air into the next bubble.
The crisis was manufactured by those who bought flats and houses for extremely high prices with 100% mortgages.
The - broken down banks - where just the middle man in this bubble process.

If we as individuals spent beyond our means, we also contributed to it. Plenty of blame to go around.

I agree. The fact that I haven't dealt with banks or credit in 15 years means I shouldn't have to bail out AIG. OH, but they insure the Senate, so...I guess I'll have to...
