Why do people threaten to leave CS? (145)

When I leave it would be for one of two reasons......either I have found my special someone or because this site just plain SUX. The latter is more likely.

Ashes: Well, if I ever left, which I did a year ago, I would send private e mails to the friends I have made, but not make a Thread or Poll of it, to each his own, I don´t Critisize or give my opinions openly if someone wants to go, I may e mail them, but never Post.
I have left the site a few times only to come back. I don't want to sound arrogant, but I had too many friends here to individually e-mail, so I made a thread that I was leaving for a while.
I never made a thread to say I am leaving CS for good because I am mad at the site. I guess there is a distinction between leaving for a while and coming back like I do, and leaving for good pronouncements.
I can confess to having "left" or intending to leave on about 3 occasions whilst having been here, though I can't say I have "threatened" to leave... I am not one for dramatics so not sure what the "threatening" thing is about, other than seeking attention, yes?
Things evolve, change, move on here, just as with RL, I guess. For me personally.... almost all the "oldies but goodies" are gone, each time I have returned its been even more lack-lustre than the last time AND.... I have met someone, of course. All these factors will, and DO, play a part.
Perhaps I no longer have anything worthwhile to contribute (if I ever did)??!
So much features in the equation, change is a good thing and, after all.... nothing is FOREVER, is it?!
I have stayed for the fabulous friends I have made, but then I am in contact with those most special to me off-site.
