lonelycowboy101: Working in the field I see from both sides . I have never seen such disregard for human life as in the current generation . I have talked with offenders that feel it is there right to kill other people. In one case a person I was talking to had dragged a woman out of her car and Shot her. He said it was his right and she just happened to be the one that got in his way and he wished he could have killed more before the police got there . He stated it didn't bother him to hurt or Kill people because the world was made for him . Now this person has no reason to be in society. Now I worry about the possability of for some unforseen reason (Prison Upheavel) Natural disaster , People like this being released on the public . Yes I do believe in the death penalty . I could add many others that I have seen such as the man that had ate his family keeping him in a mental Hospital or prison puts guards an support staff at high risk .

So what is going to happen in California when they release 40,000 prisoners because it is inhumane to house them in over crowded facilities. The people that can afford it will leave and California is going to become a wasteland for criminals.

velvetUG: perhaps if it was allowed or allowed to be filmed, maybe we might have a different view of this

If it was released into theaters, it would make more money that all the Harry Potter Movies put together.

Have you ever seen an animal put down? It is about the same as a human. There is no pain with the lethal injection.

Of course. One of our ponies had to be euthanised. The nerves made her kick. I had to walk away.

And yes i have personally killed many a beast for humane or food reasons.

Still hate doing it thoblues

If your christian your bible says that Thou Shalt Not Murder. It also says that if you shed a mans blood by man your blood will be shed.
God grants the Govt. the authority to take life. We are subject to the Govt. Govt. has laws. The Govt. punishes those that break laws.
Execution is not murder its punishment.

JaniceJoplin: Wasn't he due to die but the death penalty was rescinded in CA, or whichever State he was sitting in, before they could flip the switch? If this is the case, then that is why he is still alive... I can't see what point is served in keeping a spineless moron like Manson around, who derived vicarious pleasure from the hideous acts he demanded from his "family", ruining countless lives, managing never to bloody his own hands and continuing to spout drivel in jail.

I watched a program tonight that was talking about the Manson murders. In 1972, the state of California did rescind the death penalty for a while and Manson and his follower's sentences where reduced to life. They actually have parole hearings every so many years. The program stated that one of the women was coming up for parole next week, if I understood correctly. That's scary!!

My professor at school said I sounded cold-hearted or blooded for this. But, I believe that these people that continue to go out and kill, then become a financial strain to us by housing them in prison are of no benefit to society, therefore do not deserve to live. If you had a wild animal that kept coming into town and killing people or really disturbing things, what would they do with it. They would probably attempt to relocate it back into the wild one time, but after that, they would probably shoot it. Tell me how it should be any different with a person that does the same thing. They are not benefiting society at all!!

I agree with you.
When a creature goes bugnut, it should be put down, for the welfare of those around it.

Once a person chooses to live outside of humanity (in way).....they are no longer human. They are a beast and should be treated as such. If they are a danger to life.....for the sake of life (others).....then remove the danger for the sake of life or lives as needed.

death penalty is too easy people who kill another should be made to suffer the same fate as there victim and the chair or hanging is too easy murderers should be tortured like they did to there victims
