crotalus_p: No it’s called requiring actual evidence that meets the burden of proof to back up a statement that contradicts the scientific community When trying to disprove what is considered scientific fact proper scientific methods must be used . I have been in enough of these threads to know that the likely out come is a quote from a source that has not been near a peir review.

remember when the world was flat????

woodzchick: I understand that you believe that the book of Genesis is a book of myths....I respect your difference, please understand that.

I, on the other hand do not think Genesis is a book of myths. I take the Word of God straight forward, word for word and believe it all to be true. I do not consider myself to be illiterate because of the fact that I believe differently from you. Job is the oldest book in the Bible. Yes, Dinosaurs can be explained within the time line that I provided. Whether I can prove it is different. None of us can, because we were not around. I have heard some state that Dinosaurs were around in the book of Job. They could have died off after the great flood. The earth did go through some changes at that time.

I base my answer on the time line given in the Bible. I know you do not agree. That is okay. I'm sure others do not as well. We all have different beliefs in things. Again, I respect yours, please respect mine.

If all these stars we see at night were only 6000 years away we'd be in big trouble. light does travel at a certain speed and most of these stars (suns) are billions of lightyears away from us.
But I guess it's possible that God just kind of threw in some starlight beams from stars that dont exist, just to keep us guessing. Along with some dinosaur bones and cave drawings....

There is this guy, a Mr Kempin, a bilical student the past 50 years who has a radio talk show.
He claims to have figured out the timeline of the universe and us through his studies and has biblical proof. He claims that the universe and the earth is 13,000 years old and that all will end in a gigantic fireball on october 21 2011. 5 months before that on may 21 we will hear trumpets and Jesus will come down and meet all his true believers in the sky to take them to heaven. This event is known as the rapture. Nonbelieving babies will be left to their own devices because mom and dad have taken off, pilotless planes will crash, cars without drivers going down the road, one can't imagine the chaos. This along with a giant worldwide earthquake that will open all graves so that a pissed off God can throw all the dead nonbelieving peoples bones around to shame them. For 5 months, us not saved nonbelievers will have a terrible time and then, a giant poof. Then God, jesus and his believers will live happily ever after. The rest of us will be dead for eternity, if that is a state of being.
I'm glad to be and hope to be around, I can't wait. I've got to see this.
I have some hope that the rapture might be the silencing and final exposure of a thousands year old hoax.

The Timeline given in the Old Testament is a rough estimate of Civilization in the Mideast.laugh

The expanse of bedrock, known as the Nuvvuagittuq greenstone belt, exposed on the eastern shore of Hudson Bay in northern Quebec, are 4.28 billion years old. So the Earth is at least 4.28 billions years old. The most distance galaxy Abell 1835 IR1916 is some 13.2 billion light years from earth. So the Universe is at least 13.2 billions years old.

If a fish turned into a monkey and a monkey turned into a human, how come that is still not going on? When did evolution stop?
The dating scale of human bones who are still human goes back 135,000 years so far and still no signs of ape in them. hmmm
Monkeys still are found at the same time period still looking exactly the same as they do today and the same for fish, so a fish is a fish, a monkey is a monkey and mankind is an alien I guess seeded from Mars? haha
What next? Science will say we came from bacteria or cockroaches that survived the massive explosion?
