It would stand to reason that an American would want another American to protect them. Besides my son is in the military and is a expert marksman. I would want to be standing behind him.

I was going to respond but no need really the poll speaks for it' self.......I must say it is refreashing to see the fighting going on between two countries and neather one of them is

what i said to him was in line may be he should have not said something to another female member and he would not find him self being drilled

"the South American Army"?????? Has the world missed something...when did South America become a single monolithic political entity to have a single army for the entire continent??
Not a bad idea however if all countries there could concentrate on what they all have in common instead of what divides them, perhaps they could all contribute their special forces commandos into a single force and begin training the rest of each others territorial forces, as it now stands none have an army that could withstand a long protracted dedicated guerrilla force bent on taking / overthrowing any government there. Almost all the armed forces there are US trained and look to Samoza's armed forces for the example of 'staying power' or to Salvador Allendy's soldiers....even against several dozen mercs from Europe, they quit and ran and we took their presidential palaces with only several shots at the guards who were told to 'fight to the death'...what a laugh;the Tupemaros could have taken most countries there if they had really wanted to...
