Okay I know I am suppose to say I am wanting to learn new things in 2010, but frankly I have a full glass. I would be happy not to lose things I have already learned....

To see new things-yes.

To experience exciting things-yes.

To travel to new places-yes.

To find 'her'-yes.

LostLocal: Sorry for the brevity! I'll elaborate.. I'm curious what "nerdy" hobbies you all may have, whether it be self teaching physics or history, medicine or chemistry. Really anything that intrigues you and even though you have no practical use for reading and learning these subjects, you have a passion for it (or them) that you do it anyway?
For me, its a yes! I have been teaching myself physics for the past few years and could probably write a book on it, for no reason other than It's interesting to me! Also since my mother was diagnosed with cancer I've been teaching myself Biology and reading medical journals.

Do you have anything like this that you do? Is there a reason? Elaborate

I'm into military history and culture, I used to practice fencing and for the past year have been learning kenjutsu (Japanese swordsmanship), and in future would like to learn to use the gladius (Roman legionary short sword).

My library contains books on most topics, from history, to psychology, religion, to sports.

I also enjoy watching the dvds extras on my movie collection, the process of how a film develops from a mere idea, to the artwork, costume design etc that is needed to make a movie intrigues me a lot.

you have an intrigueing life!! do you find many women who are truly enthusiatic about your interests?? And this is a serious question? I am just curious because similar interests once cost me a budding relationship many years ago.

Thanks for the compliment mate, and to answer your question, some ladies here have found me interesting, but they are mostly out of my age group, and live away from me.

Those closer to home and in my age group aren't usually interested in my hobbies, which might go a long way to explain why I'm still single! laugh

Then again I'm not one to view soap operas, indulge in clothes shopping trips, and gossip about which celebrity is dating who, so while I'm still hopeful that a soulmate exists somewhere, I'm happy to be solitaire till I find her.
