She gives up her job, her home (although we are renting it out) and she moves here with me.
I am very happy indeed, two years it has taken for us to get to know each other, visits, talking, making love and for me to realise that the empty pillow next to me will soon be graced with her presence permamently.
sassy49senior: He is coming here in May, we hope With the economy the way it is right now, the trip is unsure. He is from Australia and this will be his second trip to see me.
That's great Sassy. Hope everything will turn nice. Wish you happiness and love

jeepers: Personally I think that her answer is wise, stated in a very direct fashion, but wise. You can never be too careful. I think it is a good idea for a lady to get to know someone first in her territory where she has the safety of her friends and family, then visit them.
Good morning everyone
Hi Jeep. Yes it's good to be careful but ... one should not miss a chance to catch happiness because of too much security. To go to his country or to have him coming here is the same for me. I do trust him. And, anyway, I don't have friends and family here, so I'll be on my own to meet him.

I knew she was mine the moment I saw her in arrivals. We had spoken for a month before we met. I saw no reason to be in touch for months before I met with her. And I thought it best I go to her, stay in a hotel, so that she was under no pressure to house me.
A lot can be achieved in a month, however, the moving process has taken longer, but we have been patient and sensible about it, looked at whose job was easier to relocate, although she is taking a year out from her job to settle, then if she wants to return to work she can with my full support, or she can remain at home, it is up to her.
All of our families are supportive of this, all have met. None of this has been a whim. Games have not been played (well, maybe the odd game of strip poker) we went into this knowing full well what we both wanted from a relationship. Should we not have received that, then we would have had the sense to put it aside.

yes indeed her answer is wise but a little paranoid towards the latter part. i have led an adventurous and sometimes dangerous life, yet was raised a good girl and 'be careful' tattooed somewhere in my brain. but there is no adventure in playing it too safe, and always expecting things to land in your lap can lead to a boring life full of waiting.
bakesaurus: Beats being normal. Besides, really I'm just silly, s'all. And I'm very old fashioned. That's just me. If a man wants me, he should come and get me. Not vice-versa.
You must forgive bakesaurus, she is in Arizona and the heat there gets to people sometimes.
HI,I DONT MIND AT ALL...IF WE STARTED HERE COMMUNICATING IN CS AND WE END UP LIKING EACH OTHER OR FALLING INLOVE WITH EACH OTHER..? WHY NOT..?? WELL CS IS JUST THE DOOR THATS OPEN WITH TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE TO HAVE ONE SAME FEELINGS BUT OFCOURSE YOU HAVE TO THINK WISE AND KNOWS THAT YOU SHOULD BE READY AND WILLING TO TRAVEL TO MEET THAT SPECIAL ONE...YOU WILL NEVER KNOW IF YOU WOULDNT GIVE IT A TRY THOUGH...SO FOR ME I WONT MIND AT ALL TO TRAVEL COZ I HAVE TO MEET THAT SOMEONE FOR WHOS SPECIAL PERSONALLY TO SEE IF THE EVERYTHING WILL BE THE SAME AFTER THE MEET UP...
I'm very unsure about this one. I'd like to meet someone but I'm also nervous at the same time. With all the scary things that have happened, I'm not sure if I'm willing to travel someplace else by myself being that I'm a single female. I'd rather meet someplace neutral or have the man travel here. I don't know if that would be considered selfish of me but it would make me feel a bit more at ease with things. Does that make sense?
