I hate all this gun talk....And I hate the cowboy mentality, big boys with toys... you'll shoot you eye out.

Where the hell do you think you are... Baghdad central???

The only thing you'll end up shooting is another crazy gun toting idiot just like you, looking for any reason to pull a trigger.
Just because someone carrys a gun does not make them an idiot....I don't carry one however and know only maybe a couple that do ...and they are anything but idiots.

I like the Arizona angle on sorting it out...well done AZ.

California's answer to their illegal problem? Issue them with Driving licenses so they could keep an eye on them! Good idea from the land of Fruit and Nuts!

I had a better idea....call them in for these licenses, arrest them and send them back across the border.

That said, without the Mexican's in CA, their wine industry would be screwed.

Ok , that's a good point, any nationality who is ilegal send them back to their country. Here in Ct we have some illegals who come from Spain,, right, send them back to Spain,,

First of all your reading a lot into my statement. I never advocated the use of a gun against anyone! I do however believe I have the right to defend myself. Second you may wish to be a sheep but not me. As far as I can tell your the sanctimonious idiot!

ooby_dooby: Are you sure?

"Here are some of the new law's main provisions signed by Arizona Republican Gov. Jan Brewer Friday. It takes effect mid-summer.

Makes it a crime under state law to be in the country illegally by specifically requiring immigrants to have proof of their immigration status. Violations are a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $2,500. Repeat offenses would be a felony.

Requires police officers to "make a reasonable attempt" to determine the immigration status of a person if there is a "reasonable suspicion" that he or she is an illegal immigrant. Race, color or national origin may not be the only things considered in implementation. Exceptions can be made if the attempt would hinder an investigation.

Allow lawsuits against local or state government agencies that have policies that hinder enforcement of immigration laws. Would impose daily civil fines of $1,000-$5,000. There is pending follow-up legislation to halve the minimum to $500.

Targets hiring of illegal immigrants as day laborers by prohibiting people from stopping a vehicle on a road to offer employment and by prohibiting a person from getting into a stopped vehicle on a street to be hired for work if it impedes traffic.

I don't see anything about probable cause do you?

I wonder how illegals get a driving license. You are not supossed to get a driving license if you are illegal. You are not supossed to work if you are illegal. You can not do anything if you are illegal. So, who help all these illegals? Is there a mafia in somewhere, who are in for all these people?

From my understanding I have no problem with the law. I have many friends here from Mexico and they are here legally and I have watched many become American citizens. If they want to come do it the right way. I do have problems with some laws providing financing for them. Our boat is already full. If they cannot provide for themeless we cannot allow the illegal to be a drain of society or ones with visas. Send them home.

Those were the days of my favor vintage, Conrad. 1971-2 were excellent Mad Dog years. 6 months from grape picking and pressing to lips...they could turn out high profile vintage in a stainless steel tank better than any French winery could. Heck with that aging stuff.....just stay to the basics here......laugh

Yes, the estimate for illegals in the US is from 12 to 14m. We are a open society here... we let everyone come to the border and for most offer a legal way to enter. But if you take the law into your feet....then we consider you a illegal alien. The operative word there is 'illegal'.

As in 'breaking' the law. As in someone that the law enforcement agnencies should make contact with and investigate. As in some cases with maybe illegal drugs or weapons or ???

When Iran only prosecutes to conviction only 2.2 of its border crossing drug trafficker....were the figure is 15-20% for the rest of the world. You should have a very good understanding of illegal border crossing activities. They roam freely on Iranian streets as well.

Maybe Iran need a AZ immigration law as well? We will let you borrow it. But that is OK if you choose not to...even legal Iranian without and with a ID has already been arrested (from the post election violence) and are facing cleric justice now.

Iuchi_Zien: I don't live in the US so my view is fairly academic but out of curiosity how many of these challenges are going to be made against White Caucasians and how many against Hispanics? Why not just have a law saying Hispanics must wear their identity card on the front of their clothes for all to see. Now remind me where did I hear that one?

I hear McCain has been thru this before in his Navy Career. You
know Hanio Hilton. He just did not think that it would be fellow Americans doing it to him when he was in his mid 70s.

He is a little shocked and depressed about it, I hear. Said at least the north Viet Namese got him to a hospital 4-5 month his bone breaking ejection over Hanio. McCain says that the hispanics and are filling up the Pheonix hospitals to such a degree and with Obamacare....that it takes longer that now here for major surgeries.
