The Bible in many forms has had errors in them. That is why a person needs to go back to the scriptures with a Strong's. Example: Unicorn, due to belief in the Greek myths, the unicorn was used in translation.........going back to the scriptures, one finds it was not a unicorn but a wild bull or oxen. This is only one example in the KJ. Kj and NKJ are the best to se for study. Other Translations have more error due to more lack of understanding by present transtators.....plainly they are a bigger mess than KJ and NKJ.......I use KJ!
I suppose the real question about the Bible is when were the various parts of it written and by whom? Like all ancient texts it has probably changed a lot over the years before settling down to the version that is most familiar.

Personally to me the greatest issue here is man's interpritation of religion and manipulation to suit his own ends and he has a hell of a lot to answer for.
Boban1: I wouldn`t know , as I havn`t seen the original, and couldn`t be bothered with the latest edition ....in other words.... I never read the bible
remember in school where you whispered something in someones ear and the next person had to change something then whisper it to someone else. same concept here.the end result was never the same.
Steve5721: But he didn't write it so how can you be sure?
How can we be sure you wrote what you wrote just now? ..... it's a matter of Faith. The Catholic Church does not depend exclusively on the Bible, but also on Tradition. I accept though that other religions can only depend on the Bible - hence the confusion and differences. In any event, whatever the perceived 'mistakes' are, the Bible is a Message - God's message for anyone to accept or reject, not an "Instruction Manual" per se.

RDM59: Yup, a perfect but very sad example of religious corruption.
and still an on-going practice ....
Why don't the Catholics themselves do something about this.
The damn God fearing cowards !!!
ignorance is bliss...even if you know it exists why make noise and disturb your comfort zone-your belief in what is "good" and "holy" all is right in my world mentality.

There are far too many bad things going on in the world today and way too many folks ignoring it all,it seems nowadays the madder and badder you are the more you get away with and the better you are thought of,it seems to me that governments are lacking in real values and strengths and have lost the know in life..
Man's interpretation of events was the initial corruption. The major damage (world wide) to any religious text is organized religion itself. Organized religion corrupts everything it touches. The corruption may be well hidden behind a veil of saintly endeavors, but the corruption is there.

.... blind faith plus a blind eye is so morally wrong, damn hypocrites.
No wonder the Catholic church has just had the pope visiting the UK on a PR exercise. They must be crapping it big time. He didn't go to Ireland .... suprise, suprise.
