RDM59: In general I would tend to agree with you but as this is a religious thread then it is perfectly acceptable ....

Why the constant rapture ? It's either sales or self reassurance....

Hence the bickering.conversing

TarotReader: God would never, ever dictate to anyone.. He/She allows complete freedom to choose and experience what we wish to experience.
Why create something unique and special only to end up trying to control it ... he/she may as well have created robots!

God doesn't want anything from us!

But the church does ! Predominantly money as a means to exist. Why, if god does not require it ? ......dunno confused

Probably couldn't stand them either!

Although I don't believe in God as the OP does, In do believe in some motivating force in the universe, an architect if you like. If OP wants to believe in a God in the formal sense, that is his perogative, and if it sustains him during the difficult paths in life good for him. Although I have seen many peoples lives transformed by this belief, and many good works come from it.

No-one on earth could feel like this
I'm thrown and overblown with bliss
There must be an angel
Playing with my heart

I walk into an empty room
And suddenly my heart goes "boom"
It's an orchestra of angels
And they're playing with my heart...........choir

Your profile says you are Christian/Catholic, that can lead a person to believe you are in fact religious. Or, when you signed up with your profile you took leave of your senses for a while and got a little mixed up.

RDM59: I never whinge about the religious threads. They are great, I feel it is my public duty to lead the deluded one's into the true light ... Call it a mission if you like.

Why come here yourself ? Did you miss out on church yesterday ?

Freedom of expression rules and always should. Freedom to get high on either drink, drugs or the Lord should also be respected, as long as it has no detremental affect on others around you, it's what ever you choose to get you through the night as they say. But if you can't stand the heat as they say, then get out of the kitchen ....

As a matter of fact I did miss church yesterday tongue

I found a lovely one recently and its sooooooo much fun but the car needs fixing so I couldn't go lol

I'm talking about the ones who make a beeline for them and then complain over and over how tired they are of em dunno

They just look silly laugh

Of course freedom of expression rules but if they're tired of it then why come in to get themselves even more fed up and tired of em? confused

About two years ago a friend of mine was attacked by his next door neighbour. Pat (my friend) was a very kind and gentle man who attended his church on a regular basis and was always happy to help anyone in need.
Anyway, as I mentioned he was violently attacked, repeatedly stabbed and had his head severed.
The man who carried out this totally unprovoked attack claimed in court god told him to do it.

It's for this reason I steer well clear of anyone who claims god talks to them.

R.I.P. Pat.

Indeed, of course the newspapers failed to mention the mans claims. Pats brother, John who is mentioned in this news report used to be my business partner and is still a vey good friend of mine. The man repeatedly claimed Pat was the devil and he was doing gods work.

That was just a joke this is what I meant

The Moonies do their dirty work in secret. That have over 1000 front organizations that they use to get money and buy influence in the media, christian organizations, and in the Republican Party. I think the best way to overcome them is to drag them out into the light and expose them for what they are. If these people are so Godly, then why do they hide behind fake organizations to defraud people? This isn't religous freedom.

I call on web masters everywhere to expose the truth about the Moonies. If you know about Moonie front organizations then post it. If you know about preachers like Jerry Falwell who's taking Moonie money then we need to let those followers know that their Christain organizations are Moonie influenced. If you know about right wing think tanks that support political candidates that are being funded by the Moonies, then lets expose them. I wonder if the Republican Party knows how much money the Moonies are spending to influence their elections, especially the primaries. It looks to me like the Moonies have hijacked the Republican Party.

The Moonies are not your friend

The Moonies are a dangerous mind control cult with millions of followers and billions of dollars. Reverend Moon is a religous nut who is trying to take over the world. Moon openly admits that he thinks he is God and he expects to be worshipped! As you read my Washington Times exerpts from Moon's web site, you will see how deeply rooted the Moonies are in the press, the Christian evangelical movement, and the Republican Party. If you're a member of the Press, a Christian, or a Republican, this should scare the Hell out of you.

You are right of course, and i should steer clear of the religous threads if i dont believe,as they will never change my mind, and i wont change thiers.
However, the same should work the other way,and when thier is a thread that doesnt involve religion,to "praise the lord" and "god is with you","thankyou god for finding me love" ect, perhaps shouldnt be part of the thread.Mutual respect.
Many on here are religous, like yourself, and no one is any the wiser, and why should they be.
To all you religous people out there,i am glad you have your faith, and it comforts you.bouquet

He loves us all unconditionally no matter what.
1 John 4:7-12

Knowing God Through Love

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.thumbs up grin
A free choice God has offered to each and everyone of us to accept or not to accept.conversing
Romans 5:8
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Romans 8:37-39
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Again the choice is ours to make.handshake As for me and also Lovingheart2 the other love of my life we choose to accept for sure.applause cheering
