If you think old you tend to act old. Theirs not much we can't do as we get older, that we did in our 20's.We can still have fun.Its in our attitude,we might be a little slower, but we can still swing on the swings,go roller skating, for example,we aren't dead yet,we shouldn't act like we are.I think as long as we are healthy, can take care of our selfs, our mind is good...we should live as long as we can.

I know I'm getting old when certain parts of my body snaps and pops as I get out of bed in the mornings

jovisst: My heart has died so many times, so how bad can it be when the brain goes? One should get a refund for wasted years.
I knew of someone once who needed a brain transplant. The relatives were huddled by the bedside as the surgeon came in. 'I have 2 brains available' said the surgeon. One is from a man and will cost 20,000$, and the other is from a woman, which will cost you 5,000$' After a small amount of quiet sni**ering the eldest of the family asked 'Why is the woman's brain so much cheaper?' 'Because it has been used' replied the surgeon.

Noo! It's supposed to be the other way around. You have falsefied facts here!
Between 75 and 85 is good. Me....I figure maybe I have another 2 to 15 years....the body dies slowly from age 30 on. But the mind stays young. Why would anyone want to die young and have a good-looking corpse...you ain't going to appreciate it. And most people at the wake will put your memory aside in the next few days.
I was reading a few days ago about life expectancy in the UK. It is believed that 1 in 6 will now live to be 100 years old, and here in Spain life expectancy is even higher.
Everybody who is currently happy and healthy surely wants to go on living for as long as possible, I certainly do, but those who aren´t so fortunate may understandably think otherwise.
I think it´s a question of how physically and/or mentally able one is in order to maintain longevity in a comfortable, and hopefully relatively autonomous manner, rather than focussing on numbers.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on that sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
