bollywood: Great excuse . According to science and zoo keepers , animals make love to their siblings and parents ..and practice cannibalism. Why dont we follow that as well ?
So I better watch out the next time I tell someone to "eat me" ??!!??

According to sociologists humans make love to their siblings and parents and practice canibalism, too, but that's not the point. The point is that hunting and eating meat is natural for human beings. No excuse is necessary and as a meat-eater, no apology forthcoming. Ever.
People that decide they don't want to eat meat for any reason need no excuse to eat what they please any more than I need an excuse to eat what I please. And, of course, people are free to think whatever they want about the enjoyment I take in consuming seared animal flesh. And, of course, I can and do have my opinions about people who act assholier-than-thou over their vegan bunny-hugging lifestyle.

Hey bud! do you have a butchery in town? You seem to hate the vegetarian people sooooo much...

I don't hate vegetarian people at all. I do, however, despise animal rights activist types, which do naturally tend to be vegetarians. Unlike them, I don't hate anyone for the food they eat. I've had vegan friends visit and happily accommodate their food requirements. And they don't run their mouths about people eating meat or hunting. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been friends and wouldn't have been welcome in my house.
Oh... do we have a butcher in town? We have several butchers. We aren't fortunate enough to have our very own slaughterhouse, though. Nothing like really fresh meat.
When the dog looks up at you with those longing eyes, when you have just gobbled down a steak....
You know that's how dogs are, right? You don't go staring at them with your mouth open and drool dripping down while they're eating their food. They're shameless. Gotta love 'em. :)
lion131: are you an animal lover that likes to eat meat, but then thinks about it after eating it,or have you no hang ups in that area and really enjoy your meat?
I never hunted for meat and cant kill anything but I eat meat and absolutely love steak grilled on the bar b q and other stuff.. I cant and never will ever eat rabbit though..i had a pet rabbit as a kid and the idea of eating one just doesnt sit well with me. I do wish they would treat the animals used for feed more humane though while they are alive and a quick humane way of killing them too.. I dont like to think anything suffers.

It was a joke... Do you always go around assuming people are thick?
But yeah....I still have that little pang of guilt....every time and u do gotta luv em...
silentspring: Our teeth are saying.....WE ARE NOT MEANT TO EAT MEAT. Period. We do not need meat. The protein it gives you can get from so many other sources.
Thinking about the way animals are treated before going to become meat is unbearable.......gosh I feel guilt and shame just passing the shelf in the grocery stores!!!!
Being on top of the food chain has responsibilities. We should try to keep things in balance and that means not eating too much of any one animal but eating a wide variety of animals. It's our duty to eat as many different sorts of animals as we can during our time here on Earth. On the list so far:
goats, sheep, cattle, pigs, chickens, geese, turkeys, pheasants, quail, doves, ducks, woodcocks, woodchucks, squirrels, rabbits, deer, moose, elk, bear, alligator, frogs, snakes, ostrich and too many different fish to mention. It's not a bad start, but there are so many animals and so little time.....

Conrad73: Why NOT? And what does eating Meat have to do with Stupidity?
What is it to you that some People eat Meat, instead of murdering innocent Vegetables that can't run away or defend themselves!
How can people live with themselves knowing that they are the reason why brutal farmworkers are grabbing cauliflower by the head ands severing it with a dull knife. All for their personal pleasure on the table. Vegetables are living things, too.

Actually Garden (how appropriate ) I remember reading an article back in the 70's than said some plants could feel pain. I'd love to find the article. It may have been from PETP. (people for the ethical treatment of plants)

The only guilt I feel is not cooking 2 steaks instead of 1
If you keep on about eating meat, it will have consequences, the consequence is me getting hungry and having to go cook a big juice, delicious, mouth watering T-Bone steak!!!!!
I promises that no real vegetables will be harmed in the cooking of the steak.
