We do not need meat. The protein it gives you can get from so many other sources.

This is why I am glad to be in Canada. The ethical treatment of animals is FAR more humane than in a lot of places.

once in awhile i do feel guilty but i like the taste of steak and other meats..i am a animal lover so if i had to kill them i most likely would either starve or become a hard core vegitarian.the products are in the store shelves so if i didnt eat them and no one else did, they would either rot and go to waste or be thrown out. plus the possiblity of animal overpopulation might occur too..i definitely wont eat bunny or other types of animals..only most basic ones you find on grocery store shelves.

hi..not trying to argue with ya here but we humans do have a few "incisor" teeth which are used for meat.. in some cultures they are called our "eye" teeth..placed in the front and also bottom front..check it out online or in a book..Thinking about the way animals are treated before going to become meat is unbearable.......gosh I feel guilt and shame just passing the shelf in the grocery stores!!!!

I do agree they should treat the animals more nice.. Animals grown on a farm to roam around graze and eat with other animals would be a more ideal way and a quick less painful death too..i personally wish i could become a vegetarian but i love steak, roast beef, lobster, ect and have been cooking since i was 13..and I don't eat meat often. it really makes me feel sick....some sort of allergic reaction.

I hear ya Swiss, I eat meat but have protested at the tratment of animals, I once did a vigil for the veal calves. They should be treated well before they are painlessly killed.

true tc..some places are practicing more humane treatment of animals raised for food.i wish they all would though... i had turkey yesterday..but i bought it in a grocery store.. lol..now im feeling a little guilty for eating it.. wish they didnt taste so good..
I like some corned beef once a week , yeah its a tasty treat to eat ...I have some geese that I have had for 10 years now and this year 2 of them have had young so there are 9 young ones ,wich I have been raising them on porridge and bread and tonight I am going to give them some minced steak , yes I know I should eat it myself ,but the young chicks need it to grow up fast so the wild cats dont get them ..the thing about eating meat and fish is when we have it, we eat it all and dont waste it ...happy eating

I know you are not arguing, we are free to have our own opinion.
But!!! If we were supposed to eat meat, we would have the teeth setting of a preditor. The body building of an animal hunter, and we don't.
Meat is devastating to our colons, has no fibrers and you would swiftly get ill if you only ate meat. Vegetarian food you can stay healthy a lifetime.
I am not trying to convince anyone, but feel I am in title to MY opinion as well.
If SHE don't mind, then I don't mind either!

First of all, We are predators... just look the way we are build
We are hunter by nature ..it`s in our genes
if you simplify any food it comes to fat and sugar
soy is a plant and it doesn`t contain everything what is in meat
Second .. as I said in my second post... we are changing and evolving ...and maybe in some 50.000 years we will live only from water and sunlight
