Elley: BTW although the joke was part of a conversation with the lovely Dragonfly it was in no way whatsoever a reflection of how I feel towards her. For what it,s worth I think she,s lovely. So there you go. Sorry again DF.It was not directed at her, I was joking with her and the comment was more a reflection of my sad desperation for some...ahem...contact in general.
See how very nice and civilized we can be around here?!
Nina3: Have you noticed anyone missing from our EU Forum postings recently?
Rusty, our dear Rusty, has been told off, shut off from the forums and is currently sitting in the corner with a dunce cap on his head for misbehaving... He once again couldn't stop himself from speaking his mind (which most people round these parts do - that is after all what this place is for), but in this instance overstepped the boundary a bit.
We all know the CS rules, and are to abide by them of course. There are many shrewd, nasty comments and "name calling" that goes on here on the different forums, and not everything gets caught. In this instance one of our most admired and beloved posters made a mistake, and will be greatly missed. I would even go so far as to say that the loss of his postings from now on will have a more detramental effect on this community than the offence his mistake made (Although I do understand the sentiments of the person affected, and I fully understand that you need to keep a nice tone on these forums, but in this case it seems the punishment far outweighs the crime.)

FlowerOfTheSun: May be I read it wrong!!! When I read it, I mistakenly understood the "any port in a storm" to be addressed to our lovely lady
Glad it's all cleared out now!!
Have a proper bunch of flowers!!!
well, maybe it pays that my english goes down the drain sometimes,
what I read there was that for him women mean trouble (women in general, in relationships) and that the same applies the other way round, that's why the reference of the storm. I think? I didn't see a joke, I saw sadness.

BTW I really didn,t mind the elley thread, I thought it was hilarious to be honest. And I also think that any man who gets DF will be a very lucky man indeed.

I need a mad man by the looks of it!
maybe I shouldn't ask too loud, just in case my angel hears me!
Nina3: I absolutely agree - personal insults should be unacceptable on any public site; there are lots of civilized ways of discussing topics and voicing different, and even opposing, opinions.
And naturally, since they are ulitmately responsible for all content on their site, the CS staff have the last say as to what can be posted.
On the other hand, who decides what constitutes an insult?
- The insulted person? As I mentioned on another thread, different people are insulted by different things.
- The other people on the forum? In the end, it has to be the CS staff, in my opinion.
- Name-calling? Some people are offended by the slightest thing, and some people take it as a joke (which it might even have been intended as), and some people just shrug it off, or ignore it. Different strokes for different folks.
If you take a look at all the different threads on the different forums, you'll see many, many ugly and nasty postings, that remain untouched. And there are people who cunningly disguise their insults in such a way that many people don't notice them. Does this make the insults acceptable?
The way I see it, in such an international and multi-cultural place as this site, the only reasonable thing to expect is for everyone to use some common sense, be as polite as they can and to listen to each other. If problems arise, then the CS staff can be contacted, and they will have the last say.
It would appear to be the case that CS staff have had the last say
Marivanna_the_II: Weakest link [am I repeating myself?], get rid of competitors by any means. Guys, be careful, otherwise we wont have any choice here :D
Kisses, hugs, coffees...
That does seem to be one of things he was also good at....... Is there a psychological name for a guy who needs to be the only rooster in the henhouse?

There seems to be some confusion as to who got rid of whom here...
Perhaps it's more fair, if we cannot say something nice about someone who is not able to be here to reply and "defend" themselves, to not say anything at all?

Marivanna, you could probably repeat yourself to the end of the world and it would still be too cryptic for the likes of me to understand
I was just looking at the results of the poll and trying to imagine how RK might be feeling....
Obviously, he's f..cked up and I'm sure I don't know the half of it (not even more than a very small fraction, actually), but it seems to me the people on the receiving end of his bad behaviour have some support between them and rightly so, I'm sure...... It seems he's got way out of line and this is about consequences, obviously.......
I don't actually know what I'm trying to say. But this feels bad to me. I'm imagining RK, just another stupid human being, dejected..... None of us are feeling dejected by the rest. I'm starting not to like this...... Sorry.

I was gainfully occupied in my garden all day and prostrate with exhaustion in the evening of the Day of the Offending Thread - by the time I got back here it had been removed - So you all know more about it than I do? Damn, I hate it when I miss any excitement! I received private mail about the subject, so am guessing it was something completely out of control?.. more so than usual?
