they are introducing a speedway somewhere in the States now
I am not a fast driver so only up to about 90mph although I was unfortunatly a passenger in a ford scorpio thing doing 155mph once, was not impressed with the guy driving.
Not to do with cars exactly but while kite buggying once alongside a main road I was overtaking cars that were getting pulled over for speeding in a 40mph zone. Never did find out my exact speed but was estimated at around 50mph! OK 50mph might not sound fast but when you have no brakes and steer with your feet sitting just a couple of inches above the ground it feels a lot faster.

I think a lot of people in this thread are fibbing. Another thing, most speedometers are notoriously inaccurate the faster you go. I've driven a true 140 MPH in an all out racecar with racing tires on a race track and I can't even imagine going that fast on a public road in a street car on street tires.

Well, I know when I am doing 180 kph on the autobahn, there are plenty of cars passing me going brooooooooooooooooooooooooooom

We should make clear that speed is not a game on the public roads, speeding should be done in the places for it.

My fastest was a bit over 220 km/h - from Nuernberg to Cologne (All A3). But that was over 20 years ago, with an Audi Coupe, 5 cylinder. Great car!
My record was going from Cologne to Nuernberg (Erlangen) in 2 1/2 hour! (400 km)

In acar top speed in my 1969 roadrunner was 168 and a five hundred dollar ticket with six month suspention of my licence ouch top speed on my motorcycle was 186 did that in quarter mile at race track no ticket it was a blast. both times it was to show off to a ladie I was young dumb and full of ..m lol Ido enjoy going fast its a rush .
