RE: I've Not Seen Merc Here Lately - (aka "A Prior Chatting Blog")

Read crime and punishment a few year's ago. A long read but a great book.

RE: Here it comes: Unvaccinated Americans Should Not Be Allowed to Work, Have Access to Children

Don't be silly Conrad, this is nothing like the nineteen thirties, the idea seems perfectly reasonable to me, why do we all have to suffer because a certain section of society is stupid and suspicious?
Trump's rallies and his encouragement to his supporter to stand down and stand ready on the other hand is very nineteen thirties.

If you're going to reply Conrad don't forget your favourite emoticon!rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Is Fear the Real Virus?

Ana,
When people say it is an experimental vaccine they don't understand that most of the work on vaccines has already been done, years ago. They have a head start and may not have a lot to do to get a specific vaccine fine tuned for use.
That's why the saying 'standing on the shoulders of giants' describes a lot of what they do, most of the work has already been done.

RE: Where's The Outrage?

I don't know what they are called, I believe that anything that can fire bullets at the speed they do is something suitable for a battlefield only, not personal protection.

RE: Where's The Outrage?

@Boh

I don't want to take guns off the law abiding people of America. If you did you would end up with just criminals having them, as you point out. I want to take away guns that were designed for use on the battlefield. I think the use of guns should be minimised and reduced. I doubt if they can ever be eliminated though.

Having this view does not make me a communist.

RE: Where's The Outrage?

@Boh
Not surprisingly you call someone a communist just because they want gun control, and suggest they go to North Korea.
The mark of a fool is to attribute outrageous motives to anyone who has a different opinion to theirs. You would have made a good Joe McCarthy.

RE: confused about the vaccine

Spot on jac, this should be read by everyone.

RE: The demise of local print media...

You mention fascism and this only a short time after voting for one....rolling on the floor laughing

You are the gift to sarcasm that keeps on giving.............(holding my sides in here)

RE: YOUR OWN MIND

Moonmist.
There are many people who have no judgement or critical ability. They vote for Trump.
One contributor here says that the MSM is not to be relied on. Such people trawl the net until they find someone who agrees with what they say, as will happen if you spend enough time on it.. What they don't understand is that the MSN has standards, such as checking on sources, looking at things critically. The internet warrior has none of these. That's why the MSN is a hundred times more reliable than the non-mainstream media. Of course the MSN leans to the left alright, that's why Fox came into being, to counter that. While leaning to the left they at least don't tell lies, outright lies, as the internet warriors do.

Dismissing the MSM out of hand is the adult equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and chanting 'not listening....not listening.....not'

RE: SOON: Former President Trump speaks at CPAC 2021 in Orlando, FL |

No not at all ep, I remember you saying so before. I was well aware of your dangerous idiocy all along.

RE: How many times this....

Mic,
I agree with you on this one, it's not fair on women to compete with transwomen in sport as transwomen have a male musculature, that's too much of an advantage.

RE: How many times this....

Your bigotry knows no bounds as always V.

RE: Fun: ...excellent facilities for your private parts....

I love the 'pederasts' one...laugh

Another old one was - 'all the water has been passed by the manager.'

RE: Quite promising medical news for those with spinal cord injuries

As someone with a spinal problem this is indeed interesting, thanks for posting Jim.

RE: Bill Gates and wifey...

I don't want it taken down.

RE: Bill Gates and wifey...

So says a brainless tool who thought a civil war in America was preferable to a communist takeover!! (if you can believe it).

RE: Bill Gates and wifey...

Correction; the brainless fool lost the election, then tried to overthrow it with a coup. Some 70 million brainless fools supported him.

RE: A word we should stop using

If I remember right a billion in Europe was one million multiplied by one million. In the US however it was one thousand multiplied by one million, I think nowdays that the American version is the accepted one.

RE: LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT

Riz, you're right about people like String spreading nonsense but in fairness it's not his fault, some people are just born gullible and dimwitted.
Some may take what he says seriously, which would be a pity.

RE: You’ll Own Nothing and Be Happy!? - The Great Reset

Will that second class be an upper or lower?

RE: You’ll Own Nothing and Be Happy!? - The Great Reset

Yeah I see a pattern alright, someone who calls someone else a 'knucklehead' and in the next breath says the election was stolen.....you couldn't make it up....laugh

RE: "Instant Karma gonna get ya..."

jac,
There are sides, not us and them but civilisation and barbarism.

RE: "Instant Karma gonna get ya..."

That's a bit harsh jac.......of course it's a tragedy when you think deeply about it. When you hear the story for the first time however it's ok to laugh a bit, we're only human after all.

RE: Restarting my cooking adventure!

@phil,
Your roomate is wrong, just a drop of oil is all you need. YUCK!!!

Trial and error is the way to learn with cooking. Things like soup, stew, casserole are basically the same thing but differ from country to country in ingredients. Try cooking a big stew once a week and put most of it in containers and into the freezer. Or put in the fridge if using in the next day or two. You will be surprised that it tastes better the following day as the flavours 'come out'. It's as easy to cook three or four meals as it is to cook one this way.

RE: homeless people ,,,,

Hi ed, yeah I've seen the place alright and it's scary. We don't have anything that bad here in Ireland although on a smaller scale not too different.
Can't agree with you on the stealing part, only a minority of homeless in my experience are thieves.

RE: The REAL reason why people don’t believe in God

Bigjb,
You sure are anti free speech. By the way how's the search for a wife who will 'submit' to you going?banana

RE: The REAL reason why people don’t believe in God

Well k ann I think if you look at the recent history of the debates on here that it's the other way around. Believers are condescending and often rude towards non believers.

RE: The REAL reason why people don’t believe in God

Sorry.........worship, not welcome..

RE: The kind of content desired on CS blogs

Thanks for that jac, it's really nice.teddybear
