Some people trawl the net until they find someone who agrees with their opinion. What they're looking for is reinforcement of their view, sign of a closed mind.

Well FF he's more intelligent than most of the Trumpers here, not that that is saying much I agree. He seems to have travelled for example, I don't think most Trumpers have ever left their state, let alone the U.S.
When the dust settles, as I hope it will, there will be work for many historians and socialists in examining Trumpism and what it was.

V, you've got Biden derangement syndrome. It's Biden for the next four years, it will be much easier if you just accept that and get on with your life.
I don't think one role is less valuable than the other. The problem is that not all women want the role of mother and housewife, they have ambitions to do other things. Everybody benefits if they are allowed to pursue what they are interested in. Some men also don't want the traditional role, they are happy running the house and then others like jobs that were traditionally done by women, like nursing. Just let people be what they want to be, most will choose the traditional role, that's fine. Some won't, that's fine too.
jac, We brought in free third level education about ten years ago. The idea was to get more working class kids into university. It didn't work. All it did was reward the middle classes whose children went to university, a financial boast for them. A much fairer way is to put the money into primary level education as this is the only real education the most disadvantaged get. Money put in here makes a difference. What happened here was no real increase in working class kids going to college but rather a big change in the drop out rate from university courses, a big increase. Third level fees were gradually re-introduced, although they weren't called fees of course, they were called admin charges or something like that!
You are spot on Fargo. It should be noted that high intelligence does not protect you from having bigoted views, believing in things that aren't logical and letting your heart rule your head.
The reason for the difference in crowd size for both candidates is that Trump supporters, being less intelligent, have no fear of standing in large groups with no masks on. Biden supporters, being more educated and advanced, take the Covid risk seriously and stay away from crowds, they heed the warnings of experts.
You could well be right chancer and I agree with your general point. I feel very sorry for the poor people of Central America but you have to have border control and a formal system of immigration.
