I agree with you. You said it very well. Society has made life competitive at every level. I feel because of the competition for weapons, by various nations, we have created a real problem for ourselves.
I like the way the VA director "passed the buck" on this. Poor baby, "he didn't know"! Hey, his job is to know what is going on in those hospitals! I use the VA and I happen to get good service there. But I am sure there are more than the Phoenix VA hospital doing what they did.
I think all of the people involved should be fired and and held legally responsible for this!
Interesting question! I think what degree of participation in an event is important. Will the peace group end up being disruptive and if so, would there be security to reign them in? I am a former Marine and I am not big on peace groups. I remember what they did while our men were fighting in Vietnam and how they treated our vets when they came home! I am sure that I am going to draw flak on this but I don't care! So my answer would be a definite no!
