RE: Hey Bambina, we were friends, then you just blocke

Usually, if you end up being blocked for "unknown reasons" its because you were too needy. There are personal space boundaries even on the internet. I don't know exactly your relationship with Bambina so I can only give you that one scenerio as an "example".

RE: THE ....NIGHT....DREAMS...

I'm still trying to figure out the profile picture that looks like it came he took it off an Ad for another Dating site. Why are so many men from India afraid to post their own pictures?

RE: I hate moving

Its the unpacking that I hate. Deciding where everything will go in the new space. Many things end up staying in boxes for an extended period of time during the thought process. Doesn't matter if the move is to the next town or cross country it requires the same amount of work.

RE: Missing Persons

I was curious about my high school sweetheart who I dated on and off for 6 years. Through Facebook I have his entire family but none will respond. His sister-in-law said there was a falling out. I still need to talk to her on the phone. I knew all of them well so not sure why they won't at least reply. Then there is his best friend from those days. Hadn't seen him since my son was a toddler. We were so tight. Closer than close as friends. Just found him, send an email but no reply. Things change and he really has changed I guess. Very happy through Facebook to have reconnected with many people with happy results. Like my best friend going back to kindergarten. We both had been searching for each other for years. She found me first on Facebook. Lost touch in 1990. We refer to each other as "Sis" because that is how we always had felt about each other.

RE: Guess we are wired to want what we cant have and v

I'm on another free site and many of us like it purely for the forum not necessarily to meet anyone. Its more of a social networking place. Much larger forum than here and more active though the people aren't quite so nice.

Its truly hard to meet the person who gives you all the right feelings. I don't want to settle for someone I can simply tolerate. I do wish to be in love and be loved. Best to be patient til the right person comes along. Forever could be short or could be a very long time God willing so why not wake up each day just as happy as the day you first met?

Til then come here socialize and know you aren't alone in the world.

RE: my knee hurts

Please see a physician and get trained medical advice, x-rays, MRI and sound evaluation of your actual condition so that you can be treated properly. You can worsen your condition by over medicating on the wrong medications. I had severe knew pain but it was caused by a bakers cyst which is in the back of the calf. It could be arthritis, or joint deterioration which requires surgery to repair. It could be many things all with different treatments. Right now you are just seeking to find a band aid. Please, make an appointment very soon.

RE: y are there no genuine women i dublin looking to

You are good looking young man so I don't know why you would have any trouble meeting girls in the real world. Men and women do have a habit of flaking out on those first meets. Can't really get your hopes up on them. I've been on dating sites for 2 years and had enough dates but never met that one special person. Everything happens in its own time, when its suppose to happen. Just keep trying.

RE: my knee hurts

At 5'4" you should weigh at least 120 or more if you had a larger body frame. 79 lbs is because you are not well. If not anorexic then some other health reason. Joint pain is probably due to your being so underweight. Have you been seen by a physician? You should be asking a medical professional for advice not asking people in a forum.

RE: THE ROMNEY WAVE HAS ARRIVED....

@ adamisk I totally agree with you. peace

RE: THE ROMNEY WAVE HAS ARRIVED....

I voted for Obama.
I've been out of work since 2009.
Jobs just vanished.
Employers started laying off people then hiring new people in at lower pay.
Now, there are employers who put on their applications that if you aren't currently employed or been unemployed less than a few short weeks not to apply.
The country is a mess.
California was the worst but now I think Illinois just took our place.
Things just need to change.
Though, I do like the Obama family as people very much. wine
I like Mitt Romney and chances are he'll get my vote unless he does something really stupid or should I say says something really stupid.

RE: How far would you go?

I don't have a car but if I can take a train to a destination within a few hours I'm not opposed to doing that to meet someone if we have made a strong connection. I was seeing someone a bit over 2 hours away and took the train up to see him.

I don't have the finances for airfare but if it was right, and spent enough time getting to know him and he offered to pay I would travel out of country.

It would of course be preferable that he came here first just for the safety factor of meeting a stranger. (This is meant for meeting a man anywhere not just oversease.) You can Skype for a year but you are still strangers til you are face to face.

Finally, closure to this post about my sight impaired gentleman.
One last visit after Christmas that started off well and went all wrong by New Years.

At last I knew for sure that I wasn't who he needed in his life nor he in mine.

It was good that I went on that last trip. Now I have closure with this man and I hope he is feeling the same about me.

Thank you everyone who gave me advice. It always helps to hear what others have to say even if we don't agree with it.

Marriage Minded Men

I don't mind giving up all control of the remote those I do hate when someone channel surfs endlessly and never chooses anything to watch! rolling on the floor laughing

Marriage Minded Men

I am always quick to point out that I am just looking for someone who is on the same path as I am when it comes to wanting to find their soulmate and eventually marry.

It by no means that because I go on a date or few dates with a man who feels the same that we are meant for each other. Its good to start off knowing that we are headed out on the same journey. We just might not reach the end of that journey with each other.

My son's father who I spent 4 hellish years with was an abusive alcoholic. I wasn't allowed to leave the apartment without permission or return even 5 minutes too late. So, I'm not looking for someone who has that type of mindset about women again, very old world as he was from Central America. I was the bread winner in the household.

Marriage Minded Men

I've never been married either which is why I'm not soured on the idea of it and also why I would still like to someday be married. Been proposed to now 3 times but always knowing it was the wrong person. I think many times women just want to be married for the sake of being married and say yes when they shouldn't. I've had more than one friend do that. The fear of being alone.

RE: The truth, the whole truth. And no buts.

I never seem to meet anyone who lives in my area. In just a few days I get to meet a wonderful gentleman who is coming from Denmark. He has family near me. We met online a bit over 2 months ago and began a countdown of his visit. If the visit goes well then I will go there for a visit.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THE US CS MEMBERS!
Thank you everyone for the feedback.

@ cloud94ever My friend still has vision though is worsening. He is legally blind. He is receiving help from an agency with his transition. His daughter doesn't live close by and visits are sporatic. He fears very much being alone. He and I have had many discussions so I'm not just coming here without having had talked to him and I'm going up to see him tomorrow. I know how he feels and what he wants. I'm trying to figure myself out and I don't want to hurt him. I'm quite mature already thank you very much.

@ buckeye1332 You make very good points. I am going to talk with him on my visit about whether his deep desire for me is maybe part of his fear of being alone. At one point I did step back for a while because I wasn't sure if I really liked him or if it was that my heart was going out to him. I couldn't imagine going through what he is.

@ Mia9988 Thank you for such a positive response and very good advice. I shall take it to heart. I truly do need to find that peace within.

@ morgenulv You are so very correct. If I were with someone in a long term relationship, in love, committed then we deal with whatever life brings us.

@Sur_de_Quito What to say?
As for my list of preferences/qualities on my profile I simply wrote mine out. If you or anyone else wrote out what you are looking for it would end up being a lengthy list too. In your head it just doesn't sound as long as it looks written out. Plus, the list isn't written in stone now is it?!

@Calliopesgirl I have been looking deep within to find that answer. Being with him out of pity would be just terrible.

I do have trust issues which he did help me to understand. I won't rush into anything. He does understand if I do meet someone else since he knows I am online. He just wants to love me for as long as I am in his life. For now, I don't give him false hope but can be a very good friend. If my heart changes then I will follow where it leads me.

Thank you all again for giving your advice. Its helps to get the perspective of others sometimes even though in the end the decisions belong soley to us.

RE: Would You Belive It

Yes, he is a divorced widow BUT also it seemed to happen when we had the NOVEMBER 9, 2001 attack!!! Hmmm, I could have sworn that was Sept. 11, 2001. They really need to learn that we right our dates "backwards". lol For them our 9/11/2001 is November 9, 2001.
