well durian is an extreme one. Some loves it, some hate it. I think a character Javier Bardem played in Eat, Pray, Love the movie, called durian as a fruit which smells like a smelly foot do't get me wrong, I loooooooved durian, the smell and taste, until one day I got poisened. Now I only eat it just to taste, not to get drunk

RE: RIOTS IN CAIRO AGAIN

Years ago, a man name Munir was poisoned in a flight. I did not know him in person, but he become our hero for he has been fighting for an institution that work for missing people (people who were kidnapped during 1998 chaos).

Couple of months ago, a friend of a friend (I did not know him personally but we work in the same circle) burned himself to death because he was desperate working for law enforcement which he felt was useless. This has come as a shock to all of us. Though we were sorry for this is our loss to loose another camerad, we believe his death will also bring other participant to work on what we have been fighting for.

And just days ago, a football player form Paraguay, Diego died in hospital. He's been sick for months, but did not have enough money to pay for his medicine because the club that hire him has not paid his salary for months. He even asked for a ticket home as he wanted to die beside his mom, but the club did not give him his last wish.

They may not seemed to be killed in a brutal way, but the lost is the same. Ignorance, power, money, has taken so many lives. I often feel frustrated seeing all these, but then what I can do is (at least) being grateful for the life I have, no matter what.
